My family is doing the dining plan on our next trip. Nine of us will be sharing a two bedroom. Will we be able to have the dining plan split between two or three cards? My husband doesn't want to have his father ask him to get him a Coke every time he is thirsty. :lmao:I don't want to see my father-in-law get mad when my husband teases him about not letting him have one.

If all nine are over age 2, then all of you will be on the DP. All guests listed on the reservation have to be on the DP. You cannot limit it to just a few. And all of the KTTW cards will show they the DP.

Per member services
Every Guest in the room must purchase the Disney Dining Plan for the duration of the reserved stay.

All of the DP credits for everyone for the entire stay will be coded onto every KTTW card - so anyone with a room key may use credits until they are all gone. Each time DP credits are used, they are automatically debited from every card.

In this case, your DH and DFIL will have equal opportunity to use the credits as they choose! :)

Enjoy! :)

Thanks Webmaster Doc that will be one argument adverted. Now hopefully we will be able to explain to FIL that he does have a limit on his snacks. My kids love him but I don't think he will be able to talk them out of a snack credit for his Coke drinking habit. They are really good at letting him know he has to much caffeine in his system.

Your FIL could use up everyone's snack credit if he gets a whole bunch of Cokes during your stay. There is no way to limit the number of credits used by a single guest on the reservation.

We were a party of 8 on the DDP in one room last visit. We had a hard time keeping track of how many each person had left. It made it more difficult because 4 of the people had never used the DDP before and did not understand it. Maybe someone will have a good way to keep track to suggest. I tried to keep track by everyone keeping their receipts and totaling it at the end of the day -- didn't work! I felt like I was the bookkeeper on vacation! :lmao:

I'm sure if we explain how it works to him he will try to be considerate. We will be traveling through the parks as a herd so that may help a little and I am sure my MIL will also keep tabs on it. Plus the other five are our children and we get all of the food for them. I guess we will have to see how it goes. Wish us well.

if you are taken a stroller that has the basket on the bottom your DFIL can take a soft cooler full of his cokes then he wont have to use the snack credits for drinks. When I take my little one I always take a soft cooler full of bottle water, jucies, and a few sodas for the adult. It saves on credit and you dont have to spend $2.50 on one drink when you can buy them at the grocery store buy one get one free and the have the cap on them so they dont spill. I dont know if you are flying then I quess this won't work.
