Splitting cruise with points and cash?

I know this has probably been asked but I could not find it...sorry! My mom needs the answer and I was unsure.
I know you can spilt people, as in pay cash for one adult and points for another. But can you do that with one person? Pay some points and some cash?? thanks!

You can't mix points and cash for a passenger.

You must pay one adult with points then you can pay other passengers by either cash or all points as you wish. The cash price is the negotiated rate, usually higher than the early booking cash rate.

They won't even let a solo passenger pay points for the cruise fare and cash for the single supplement. It has to be points for everything or cash for everything.
