We have a group of 11 people including 4 couples and kids and I'm wondering
if it is a big problem to pay the bill using different credit cards or gift cards for
each group - Do the restaurants have a problem with this? Anyone had any
experience with this? Thanks

It will not be a problem. Just tell the server when you are ordering how you want the tickets split.

Right, just like any other restaurant, let the server know when ordering who is with who. It isn't an issue.

Never had any probs with this in the past myself as I have travelled with other families many times. Just let your server know when you sit down.

I agree with everybody else that it shouldn't be a problem(doesnt mean the servers like to do it and wont give you the hairy eye) but please do tell the server before you order who is going to be on which ticket because it is really a hassle to redo tickets at the end. Have a great trip!

I was surprised to learn that in some locals, splitting the check only means dividing the amount in half or thirds and charing equal amounts to each group. This means if you order a burger and someone else a steak, you end up paying for part of their steak.

Around here and in WDW if you tell them who is on what check and they split the checks based on what each person buys. A preferable method that requires one to inspect their check carefully as sometimes an extra drink will be on one persons bill or an entrées will be switched on checks.

We didn't have a problem with splitting the check up when we were there last week. DH was there for a conference, so all of his food got to go on his business credit card.
