Split stays- double MagicBands?

When you reserve two separate resorts do you get another MagicBand when you check in to the second one?

Yes. They are considered two separate reservations, so you get two sets of MBs. If you customize both in MDE and live in the US, you'll get both sets in the mail prior to your trip.

I wonder if you have 2 reservations if you can decline the 2nd band online
I had a split stay last week but we had the decline option on all our reservations since we had bands from other trips this year

Thanks! I'd just feel bad throwing them out when we get home. (I saved the one I got two years ago when they were just trying them out, but three's a bit much to save)

Some folks like to collect bands in different colors so they can match the band to the outfit they are wearing on a given day.

ETA - It never matters to me, but the lovely women in my life like to match things up.

Cool. But that means you can link all of them to your one reservation? How do you do THAT??

Yes, you can decline the second band when you do on line check in. I did it with my last split stay. I have two of each color already, plus 3 or 2 colors because I have my AP sliders on those.

All MBs linked in your MDE account can be used interchangeably. Nothing is stored on an individual band except a unique key/code that allows access to all the reservation/ADR/FP+/ticket information in your account.

Quick question, since I have a split stay I can use my bad from the first one the entire time? My 8 day tickets will be on both? Will both open my rooms? Sorry for the repeat questions but have never done a split stay and there were not magic bands the last time I went.

Correct, but one extra set doesn't take up much room and might be a good backup just in case one gets lost.
