We are looking to split our stays next summer, how easy is it to spend one week say in a moderate the other week in a deluxe. Checking out & in luggage etc is it taken care of?

easy.

if you ask for express check out when you check in - not generally a problem.

on the day of moving I get up early go to the other hotel check in, then come back prepare everything to be moved - then if I got a room just take it with me - if I didn't I call bell services. I have a tendency (when I don't get a room immediately) to stay in the current hotel room until 10:30 am (check out time is 11:00am).

Bell services is happy to move stuff.

just be sure to pack a backpack with stuff you can't do without. sun screen, medicine, swimming suit, etc. sometimes your luggage will be there when you come back from the parks, othertime it won't arrive until 3:00pm. You need to call bell services to have it delivered.

We recently split our stay this August...3 nights at Pop and 5 nights at Poly. We have absolutely no trouble at all. Luggage was at Poly when we arrive to check in around 2pm...I did not pack any special toiletries. It seemed to make our trip even go faster....snif snifff....If you are using Magic Express, make sure you tell them in advance. You will need 2 different tags for your luggage. One for the trip there and the other with the other resort name for the trip coming home....I would recommend splitting any time ! And this was our first try... :p

We're doing a split stay in 2 weeks (yippee!)

I can't decide if its worth it to have Bell Services move our luggage or not. It will only take us about 10 minutes to load it up in the van and another 10 minutes to unload it at the next resort. How much hassle, if any, is it to arrange for the luggage to be moved? And if Bell Services moves the luggage, do you actually SEE them, or are you supposed to tip them or anything? Or do you just leave the bags in the room and leave and they take care of it while you're at the parks??

Just use your head on the day of your move - unlike what I did. We had a car, so my plan was to get up super early, check out of the YC, drive to CR, check in, go straight to MK, then come back when the room is ready. The problem was that it was POURING down rain...so hard that we missed the turn for CR the first time because we couldn't see it! As it turned out, a room was ready - didn't get any of my room requests but didn't care - and the rain slowed to a drizzle. BUT, if the rain hadn't stopped, we could have been left for about 8 hours, in a monsoon, with no room.

We COULD have asked for late check out at YC and had a cozy morning in the hotel in the rain.

Just think about what you're doing in the day of your move and don't give up your room without thinking through your day!

You just pick up your phone call bell services and tell them you need your luggage transfered to which ever hotel and someone will come up.

At Moderate, Deluxe, and Home Away from Home you do see someone from Bell Services they come to your room, tag the luggage, and load it up. Yes you do tip them. Your luggage will arrive at your next hotel between 1-3pm. Aslo you will need to be in your room at your next hotel to have it delivered.
