Split Stays and the DDP

How do the DDP credits work on a split stay? Suppose I book SSR for 4 nights and then AKL for three more, each booking is a separate reservation, so are the DDPs also separate? I'd be coming in late, so using a TS on the first night wouldn't happen. How far into the "final day" (day five of the trip, the day I'd be moving from SSR to AKL) can I use the SSR credits? Are they still good for a TS dinner, or would I have to start using the AKL credits? I've used DDP credits for breakfast and lunch on a departure day, but never dinner.

Yes they are seperate. They are good until midnight on the day you check out.

Personally I would only get the plan for the SSR stay and not the AKL stay.

Just make sure when you check into AKL, you keep your SSR room ID cards, as they will have you dining credits for that stay on them.

You could also have two different types of DP's. E.g. for the 4 day stay do the CS DP and for the 3 day stay the regular DP which includes one TS meal per day. Or you could make one of them the Deluxe DP.

Unlike many on the DISboard, we like the DP and would have a DP on each part of the split stay.

We just did a split stay with the deluxe dining plan. We used up our AKV dining plan for breakfast on the day we check out of the room, but finished our snacks at 10 pm. You have till midnight on the day you check out to use the credits.

Thanks everybody. DW and I sat down and figured out how to use all of the credits for our stay. I wasn't sure about the midnight expiration, so that was the only possible issue. But since I tend to eat before midnight, it's not a problem anymore.
