Hello! I have a question regarding a split stay between an off-site location and a Disney resort. We are coming for 2 weeks and our first week will be at a timeshare that my friends parents are very kindly letting us use and the second week will be on-property. We would like to visit some of the Disney parks during the first week (maybe only 2 days).

Is it possible to book the hotel/ticket package with Disney and use some of the park days before our stay? Or are we better off booking hotel and tickets separately? Does anyone have any suggestions of a travel agent or is it best to book direct to the site?

Thank you!

Yes. You can pick up package tickets up to 3 days in advance. If you're planning on visiting the parks prior to that, you'd have to purchase tickets separately.

If you're not interested in purchasing a Disney Dining Plan, there's really no reason to book a room package with tickets. You don't need to have a Travel Agent. If you want one, make sure they are experienced in DisneyWorld-Florida. But it's no big deal to book yourself. Look for any room discounts for the time you're visiting, book room-only, and get your tickets separately. Many here on DisBoards would recommend UnderCover Tourist for best discount price and A+ customer service/quick ship. However, there are other equally reliable ticket vendors, and you can do your own research. The tickets are the exact same as what you would purchase from Disney directly. Disney Magic Your Way tickets expire 14 days after first use, so plan your park visits accordingly. Have fun!

Thank you both for your quick replies! That's a great help - now the serious planning can start :)
