Split stay

Well I just did a lot of research, and I just booked my first split stay.

You have to make 2 separate reservations.
While I normally make reservations online easily. I opted to make this one on the phone with a CM. I found it a lot easier :)

I wish they'd change this! We just wanted to add 1 extra night at a different resort. We are doing room only, but I would rather have just done it all together.

Sadly Disney doesn't recognize split stays so it has to be done as 2 reservations.

Each hotel is run independently, even if they are "on site" or Disney-owned. So it's like staying at any other two hotels - you need two reservations.

The exception might be POR and POFQ - they may be linked, as they are considered "sister resorts." But there wouldn't be much point in doing a split stay between those two, since you are welcome to use the amenities at both.

We are staying at BLT, and I just wanted to add an extra night at the start at POR in a royal room.

Oh well! I'll just do RO.
