I know that Disney does this when guests split their stay between two resorts, but if you stay on points at two separate villas, will Disney transport your bags between the resorts, or are you responsible for moving them yourself?

Thanks!

I'm wondering the same thing...we are doing this at Christmas.

Thanks for posting!

Yes, they will be happy to transport your bags for you. Staying on points doesn't make you any less of a WDW resort guest. You still get all of the perks that anyone staying at a WDW resort would get.

Unfortunately that isn't necessarily true in all areas of service though it should be.

How does it work? I'm moving from BWV to VWL in December.
The last time I did this I took a cab (but it was from the Swan to OKW).
Do I just have bell services pick up my bags at my room and take a bus to the new resort? If so, tip bell services on both ends? I will only have 1 bag and 1 carryon.
TIA!

We did this last month and just called bell services at AKV- they told us when they would be there. If I do it again I will call a little before I want them there as sometimes it may take them awhile although I think it was only about 20 minutes when we called to have them picked up to be stored the day we were leaving SSR. The woman took the bags - gave us the claim check and we were on our way for the day. When we checked into SSR later in the day we went to bell services, after we had our room assigment, and they took us and our luggage to the villa. We tipped at both ends but I don't know what others do.

Yes, I would definitely tip the bellman who pickup your luggage, as well as the one who delivers it at the new resort.

If you have food in the villas, they will also store and move it for you too. I will be going through this next June myself but have always moved my own luggage. Not sure what I will do this time around, will depend if I have perishables or not...

Last August we went from OKW to BCV. We stopped by bell service at OKW and asked what we needed to do and they told us to call and make the arrangements the night before we checked out and set a time. We asked for a 9:00AM pickup and they were there on the dot. Yes, we tipped on both ends, esp. since it was OKW bell service that picked up and BCV that delivered.

We used bell hop services when we transferred from BCV to AKL in July. There were 8 of us and he managed to fit all 22 bags on one cart (luggage and food)! There was even a floral arrangement that they transported without incident. You bet we gave him a tip! Then we tipped at AKL. You can take your own bags, but to us it was worth paying the $ not to have to deal with it. We enjoyed some time in the park while they did all the work!
