Split Stay-Which to do first? New or Old?

After our amazing stay at CR last month, DH is totally on board for another Disney vacation. He even suggested staying a little longer and doing a split stay between an Epcot resort and a MK one. We both love BC so we are planning on that and then probably back to CR though I am also considering Poly or GF but we loved the walk to MK.

Now do we start the trip with the one we know and love or end it that way?

I can't wait to try an Epcot resort! I want to try ALL of them -- even the Dolphin and Swan, lol. I would try the new resort first. You already know that you like the old resort, so I would give the new resort a fair chance to make a first impression on you before the old resort resort gets a chance to spoil you. I agree start with the new! I would do this mainly because if it's not all you thought it would be, you would still end with that happy feeling! Better to continue your vacation after being disappointed then to be going home feeling disappointed.

I would do the resort you already love last. That way if for some reason you don't enjoy the first place, you still end your trip with a resort you know you love.

I agree.....start with the new resort and end with the resort you love .

We've done lots of split stays. We start with new and end with old. If we don't like new, we know we'll end on the high note of the tried and true.

Well, I would approach this a bit differently........

We ALWAYS start off our vacations at MK so we choose to stay at CR first. We also planned a FW EPCOT day while were staying at the CR so that we could experience taking the monorail over there. We planned our WS EPCOT day and our date night at EPCOT for when we moved over to the BCV so that we could simply walk over.

Doing a CR and BCV split stay was the absolute BEST!! Being able to walk to different parks on different days was wonderful. I don't think you can go wrong doing an MK and EPCOT resort split stay. It works out really well if you plan your days accordingly.

I do it differently, and start with the old, then save the excitment of exploring the new resort for last!
