Split Stay- What Do I Need to Know?

We rented DVC points and are staying 6 nights at AKV however I just added a night at the beginning of our trip at Pop Century bc flights were so much cheaper if we arrive a day early... What do I need to know about a split stay that might affect our trip? Do I need do something special so I get magic bands linked correctly? Can I set Magic Express to use both reservations?

We just came back from a split his past weekend.

All our magic bands from both resorts were linked.

Magical express was not an issue. Although we did get one for the return to the airport while at the BC but we were moving to the Poly (I swear the guy at the airport did not listen to me!).

I would make sure one piece of luggage has all your needs/families needs for that one night at Pop.

We opted to take a Minnie Van to the Poly from the BC VS having Disney move for us as we wanted our bags. Plus our room was ready at lunch time and I was able to unpack after we moved. Oh...my dh did he Lyft and I was all excited about taking a Minnie van, but what we rode in was a Honda mini van...hey it was cheaper!

You will receive a Magic Band for eac reservation. You can decline one if you choose. Nothing is on any Magic Band, it is in your MDE Account. Think of it this way. Your Magic Band acts to your MDE ACCOUNT like your debit card is to your bank account. Youaccess all entitlements with anyMB. You do not need to do anything
Disney will move your luggage for you if you want. However luggage transfer is once a day around 3 PM and it likely will not e available to you until 5ish. You can also take a cab/ Lyft/ Uber/ Minnie Vans and transfer yourself. Just have Bell Services store it when you arrive at AKV.
Your Villa will likely not be ready until 4 or after. We would head to a park for the Day until it is ready.
Just reconfirm your reservation with DME for the return trip at the Front Desk a few days before
