Split stay: splitting headache or double the fun?!?!

I really enjoyed our split stay between Poly and GF. We had 4 nights at each. I planned a resort day for the moving day. DH and DS spent time at the Poly pool while DD and I went to check in at GF. We then got to spend time at both resorts that day and enjoy the amenities. Even though we had a car I let Disney move the luggage. It was painless.

Packing up is easy for me. The unpacking I like less but I don't feel cozy until I do. Everyone has their own separate suitcase and we have a dedicated toiletry bag so it really doesn't take long at all.

How does a split stay work with free dining? I am considering splitting between poly & bc. can you still get free dining for the entire stay? let's say free dining is march 3-8 and we check into our first resort on the 8th. Will we still get free dining for our march 8-16th stay even though we are switching resorts?

You know that if you're doing the dining plan for both of those stays, you're paying for tickets twice? Just making sure that you knew that.

Since we are using the military discount we will be buying out tickets separately. But thanks for pointing that out because that would not be cool!

I will let hime know! He is sooo psyched! We have been there to eat a bunch, but this will be our first stay...

We did a split stay between CSR and GF. We had 7 days of free dining with CSR so our park tickets were on that package and then did a 40% off room only at GF for 3 days after CSR. Because the dining goes until midnight of your checkout day, we technically had dining on the 1st day of our GF stay so we only paid oop for 2 days.

We did a 5, 3, 2 spilt once. It went OKW GV, AKV 2 br, to a POR standard room. I will never ever spilt down again and never for less than 3-4 nights. Never.

I'd have to say split stays for me would have to be for atleast a 14 day stay. I just never feel like I'm settled in until after 5 days.
