Split stay & online check in

doing a split stay in may. my 60 day window is open for both stays. they are consecutive stays.staying onsite thrtough my whole vacation. my MDE will let me check in to the first resort but there is no option to check in to the second. is this normal.

No you should be able to check in to all resorts. May is more than 60 days away but you can do online check in any time. Are all resorts linked in MDE?

There is no such thing as a “Split Stay” in Disney’s eyes. You have 2 unique reservations. You may have to move.
But you should be able to check in.
Call. Also ask if you can link your reservations so you lessen the chance you will need to move
