Split Stay luggare transfer ??

If you have one night at one DVC resort (first night) and the rest at another DVC resort, how do you get your luggae moved? Will Disney transport it, do you need a taxi? I have never done a split and really do not want to know, but air travel is forcing me to arrive a day early.

You can have your luggage transferred from one DVC to another at no "offical" cost. However, you do need to tip bell hop services on both sides. We have done it several times and it is a smooth transfer.
We just use the Disney transportation (bus, boat, monorail) and we take a our small carryon bags with us since you can't checkin to your new room until the official time.

We did this in Apr. from BWV to SSR. Front desk called our cell when the room was ready while we were in the parks. Bell services even kept a bag of refrigerated items for us cold during the time in betweeen. It was a smooth transition and we did tip on both ends.

It is a very smooth process. Many DVC'ers split their stays. Many by choice some due to availability. No worries.

we did it from a cbr to blt and had no problems. called the front desk and they picked up our bags and brought them right to the blt. no cost, worries or issues doing this. thinking about doing a split with AK and BLT on our next trip since it was so easy
