Split Stay luggage transfers to another resort?

In all our years going to Disney World, we have always rented a car so I have no idea how to go from one resort to the other with all our luggage!

We will be checking out of POR and then going to another resort for the rest of our vacation. Will Disney help us with this? Do we need to pay or tip for this service? Not worried about how we will get to the other resort because we will probably go to a park that day and can just get on the right bus! Any help or tips would be great,thanks!

I have done it a few times - there is no cost but I do tip the bell services on both legs!

You can bring your bags to bell service when your checking out and they will take care of having them deliverd to your next resort. You can then pick them up after you check in or (depending on the resort) have them delivered to your room.

If your spending all/most of the day at the parks this works well but it often takes all day until your bags arrive - at least after 4 and sometimes later. It has never been an issue for us but my kids are older and we know enough not to plan a swim day etc.

We are doing one night at A of A before moving to BW. We arrive around 8pm, does anyone know if I can just leave some of my bags at bell services overnight for transfer to BW the next day? We have a room in LM at AofA and will be traveling with a 2 year old, so if we could avoid hauling our "main" suitcases around that would be ideal.

Sure, why not. I would explain to Luggage Assistance what you are doing. That way, they can hold the bags until the next morning and then add the bags you do use to the others...sending them all together.

I use Bell Services/Luggage Assistance whenever I do a split stay. But you have to realize that your bags will not get to you quickly. I have yet to get my bags before 5pm, and sometimes much later than that!! And I tip anyone that 'touches' my bags..which means double tipping for split stays.
