Hello, we're booked for 5 nights at Pop and one night at POFQ. We will be driving down.

How can we manage to change rooms if we'll be at parks every day that we are there? I was thinking having the resort transport our luggage and doing the online check in. Is that right?

Yes, you can do that. However, your luggage will not be available until later in the day, usually no earlier than 3 PM. Since you will have your own vehicle, you could just load your stuff into your car & transfer it your self. If you don’t want to leave it in your car, just drive to FQ in the am & leave it with bell services there & pick it up when you are ready to go to your new room. That way you will be able to access it if you decide you need to. Definitely can do online check in if you don’t want to stop at check in desk.

is everybody usually okay with leaving their packed bags in the car while the go to the park?

We do split stays everytime we go, on checkout day we simply call Bell services and let them know we are 'transferring' to another hotel, they come and pick up the bags, tag them and send them across. We have a backpack with a few items in just in case they aren't taken quickly, and we then go about our day. We go to the new hotel once it pings us that the room is ready. We then call bell services and have them delivered if they haven't been taken there already and its all good!

Personally I wouldn't be worried about security while the car is parked in the parking lot, however, i would be more concerned with the excessive heat in the car that may damage some of the toiletries and other items that may be sensitive to heat.

In a Disney resort parking lot I would have no qualms about doing it, but why? The way I see it you have three options.

1. Have Disney transfer luggage. (you still have to move your vehicle). Call for your luggage when you get back to hotel. (this is how we do it if we fly down, no car, and use magical express)
2. Load up the vehicle, drive to POFQ and leave the bags in the car, hop on the bus to the parks and go.
3. Load up the vehicle, drive to POFQ and drop bags at bag check. They will store them for you until you request them once you come back. Go to the park.

The way I always do it? I send the whole fam damily to the park we are going to for the day, I alone take the vehicle and luggage to next hotel. I pull up at the hotel and check the luggage for the day, then check in, then park my car in the lot and hop on the bus to go meet my family. It really is easy. The best part is I don't mind lugging heavy luggage early in the morning, but it sure is nice to just let Disney do it in the evening after we are wiped out by all the walking, eating and drinking that goes on all day.
