Hi at the end of Nov/beginning of Dec we are headed back to WDW. Last month I stayed CL at BWI and loved it!!!! Few things were dicey in terms of room selection,e tc. that I don't know if I can handle the stress again of hoping for the perfect room!!! I so love it there...BUT this trip wanting to try something new- still want Epcot area and though YC seemed quieter than BC (DD is 9.5 but not a noisy kid)..and Yc, in my thoughts, fits us. Have never even been in the lobby just hoping my guess is right! Planning on 4 nghts there with lots of Epcot/DHS time and then moving for 2 nights elsewhere.

Tenatively I have booked AKL for 2 nights as we enjoyed it in June there on a one night stay but it is priced as much as the YC due to the savannah view! So in the THOUGHT of saving a little money I was thinking WL, never stayed here before...I guess I want to stay somewhere 2 nights and don't know what I want of this. I am here for the holiday atmosphere and from what i have read WL is awesome for this. So would you do AKL or WL or another resort? I was THINKING of pricing out GF I(I have a bounceback code) and for 2 nights maybe it won't be so crazy high? I bet it will be though....!

So if you would be so kind as to share what resort you would do for 2 nights at holiday time and why, I would appreciate it. STaying put is an option too at YC....Kind of hedging my bets a little in case I wasn't crazy for YC, I wasn't stuck there for 6 nights...

I think you will find the Yacht Club has a kind of subdued elegance that you won't really find at Boardwalk or Beach Club.

If you want a totally different experience with your two resort choices, then I would suggest Wilderness Lodge. It is a wonderful resort, with grounds that I consider in the top 5 of all resorts. The lobby is absolutely amazing. It is a much more relaxed and family atmosphere though. If you want to stay on the same level as the Yacht Club, then I would suggest Grand Floridian. While there is nothing *subdued* about the elegance and ambience at the GF, it may be more to your liking.

Good Luck!

We did a split stay last Dec - Jan starting at the YC and ending at the GF. It was a truly wonderful trip, and I wouldn't hesitate to do a split stay again. It was nice to see the Christmas decorations, since they were up our entire trip. Epcot is our favorite park; however, we loved the food options at the GF (especially with monorail access). I would definitely consider moving to a MK area resort while on a split stay at the YC. WL, GF, Contemporary.... all good.

You won't regret staying at the YC! It was a beautiful resort. We love the Y and BC complex. Good luck on your decision.
