Planning split stay between BC/CBR. Will check out from BC & into CBR on a Wed.

We should be eligible for MK evening extended hours on Wed, correct?

In theory, you should be eligible. You’re supposed to be a guest of BC until midnight of your checkout day. However, your stay at CBR may override your BC stay in their system. One way I can think of to circumvent that from happening, would be to get a BC room key card and have them scan that instead of your MB.

Aren't room keys linked to your MDE just like a MB? If so, getting one at BC won't make a difference.

I’m just hoping they’re not. When we last did a split stay, our MBs didn’t work at the new resort. They had to be reprogrammed for the new resort. My thinking is that a room key card would keep the old room information. This may be moot since MDE keeps track of your checkout resort, but I wouldn’t trust Disney IT to not screw it up.

Just checking to see if any more info on this question - we have a same issue staying mid-Nov with checkout at AK lodge on Wednesday and moving to POFQ and curious if this is going to cause issues. We might switch things around if not 'eligible' for MK extra hours that eve or if we need to spend an hour with guest services to fix.

it's pretty clear that you're eligible for deluxe perks on checkout day from your deluxe resort. i would have your MDE handy showing your outgoing stay at the deluxe, and maybe screenshot that, so CMs can see and maybe wave you through if something goes wrong with the tech.

Funny how we are now referring to what was normal hours of operation as extended hours for only specific segment of Disney resorts on just a few nights in a month.

I have similar question, but in reverse. We're staying at Pop, checking out on Wednesday, Dec 1, then checking in to Riviera that day. Extended hours are that night at MK. Our tickets however are part of a package with the Pop room, while the Riviera reservation is room-only. Any issues using extended hours that day?

Your MB/MDE will show you're a guest at RIV that night, so you shouldn't have any issues attending extended hours. If you don't have/aren't using a MB, bring your room key.

We initially had this issue before switching to DVC for our entire stay. I can’t find the link now, but one the “Disney Moms Panel” blog had this question and it specifically said that it was like ‘Cinderella’ and whatever entitlements you had were good till midnight of checkout night. So leaving a deluxe and checking into a value or moderate should not be a problem. My guess is though you might be one of the few standing at the bus stop, for the cheaper resorts so you may want to let a CM know what’s happening if you are standing there for a while to go back to the hotel at the end of the night.
