I ended up canceling our May reservations for two lake view studios at Poly. My MIL was excessively concerned about construction there. It will be my husband, 5 year old daughter, 8 year old daughter, my MIL, my FIL, and me; we will be traveling for my younger daughter’s 6th birthday (which will be a few weeks after).

Instead of Poly, I’ve booked us in a 2 bedroom at CCV for 4 nights and then in a Cascade Cabin for 3 nights. There’s a BW Grand Villa also available for those nights; the GV is also fewer points (we had to borrow some to make the cabin work). Which would you recommend? Both the cabin and the GV would be one and done for us because I don’t expect to feel this need to want to burn up points in a “normal” year.

For a one and done I would go for the Cabin. I felt it to be such a unique experience and totally loved it. I think with how many people you have it would work out well. I loved the outdoor space, especially the hot tub. At the end of our cabin trip we said we wished we would have done a resort day to enjoy more time there.

Thank you! I picked the cabin initially just because I thought it would be easier to not switch resorts but I started second guessing myself when I saw the GV. We are scheduled to be in the cabin for the last 3 nights of our trip and that’s usually when my kids tend to really feel the exhaustion; I hope that will mean lots of resort time.

I dispise the thought of a split stay, being homeless for a day, and you would have lots of people that need to unpack, pack, unpack and pack up again.

We stayed 8 nights in a GF 2 bedroom last September. I think it is a fabulous resort without any split stay.

Enjoy!
