Does anyone in the UK have any experience or recommendations for booking a split stay between Disney and Universal, including flights? Any websites or particular travel agents that you've used?

Some friends have used Virgin but just wondering if there are any other options.

Looking at going back in 2026, will be a solo traveller so looking for the best deal possible!

Are you trying to book everything as one package? What time of year are you going? If it’s outside school holidays you will be able to get it much cheaper, early Sep is cheap but also thundery weather most days.
As much as getting everything together gives you peace of mind it could be a lot more than doing it separately
You could book your flight and then try attraction tickets direct for the tickets and hotels

To be honest I'm opening to booking separately or as a package, whatever is cheapest really. And by package I just mean the flights and both hotels. Unless the package offers an incredible deal on tickets, I'd usually buy these separately anyway.

So I'm trying to shop around and what I want to do is some research on what I can get separately and get quotes for packages too, and see which is best :-)

Looking at going end April/start of May, during school term time so should be cheaper.

The friends I referred to originally are going then and have invited me to tag along. They managed to book their package with flights, 7 nights Pop Century, 7 nights Surfside or Dockside (can't remember which), all park tickets and Disney dining for what seems like a really reasonable amount with Virgin.

I can't tell you if it's cheaper or not, but I did ask Virgin last year if I could book a 2 week holiday but only include, say, 5 nights at Universal. I said that I'd be staying with friends for the other 9 days (a bit of a lie - I'm DVC - but it made the request easier to understand).

No problem. So that's one possible route.

Ahh okay thats good to know, thank you :-)

We've done this before many times. You just need to speak to Virgin in person; the website won't help you. We book one hotel with them if we can get it cheaper this way. However, in recent years, we've usually managed to save money by booking it all separately.
