Split Stay Advice?

I am taking my 12 year old niece to WDW this summer (I haven't been in summer in many, many years, but that's when it works for her schedule).

I am considering a split stay. I literally cannot decide on a hotel, and I thought maybe I'd feel better if I did two. The split stays I am considering:

1) AKL Club Level 3 nights and BC/YC 3 nights - we will be there 7 days but will only have 4 days of tickets. If we do AKL club level we can lounge about gorgeous AKL eating and drinking as much as we'd like, then transfer to BC/YC where we can enjoy the pool and walk to two of the parks on our last leg of the trip. BC is my favorite resort. Also, we'd be able to visit a park on our last day and walk back just in time to catch the bus.

2) BC/YC/BWV 3 nights and BLT Magic View 3 nights - we could do half the trip at Epcot and HS, then half at MK, and enjoy fireworks every night from our balcony! What's not to love?? And of course, MK on our last day allows us to stroll over right when the bus is going to leave.

3) AKL Club Level and Poly lake view - nice club level experience to start, then the Poly where we can walk onto the monorail for MK or walk over and get on for Epcot! I'm a little concerned about the monorail, though. :( It seems to break down an awful lot.

My dad says I should just take her where it's cheapest - that she won't know better and she'll love it regardless - but honestly I like deluxe and I've gotten used to the amenities. And she'll likely NEVER be back, until she's an adult. I'm no snob, though, and certainly stay value when I want a cheaper trip; I do LOVE Pop - the fun colors, the pools, the food court. Of course, he does have a point - I'm paying for everything myself, so the extra money will get us some nice souvenirs! Opinions?

Option 2!

In the summer a stay at BC with Storm Along Bay would be great (plus you can walk to Epcot and DHS) and then time at BLT where you can walk to the MK! The only bus that you would need would be for AKL.

The best of both worlds!

That's what I was thinking! While AKL is beautiful and the animals are fun, we could cut out the buses if we're within walking distance. But I wonder: how do kids feel about split stays? She may want to just park it somewhere.

My kids love split stays. They are 12 & 13 now. They also know about getting the best of both worlds. You'll be spoiling her forever you know! ;)
We're doing a Poly villa - BWV split stay this summer. BC and Stormalong Bay is pretty awesome. But my kids prefer the low key pools at the Boardwalk. When we're not in the parks we like to relax and Boardwalk helps us with that!
