split stay- 2 sets of bands...

So we know we are getting two sets for our upcoming trip. But whats going on with people TRYING to get 2 sets for more FP's? Ive read that it needs to be a different account, but our people are not changing...How does that work and should we be doing something? Is it foolery??

So you will get two sets because you have a split stay. These will both be linked to the same MDE account and are totally interchangeable, so you will not be able to get extra FP+ in the parks, which is what people are doing when they say they are trying to get two sets. Basically, if you have a MB that doesn't even have tickets linked and isn't tied to your current trip, you can use it to obtain same day FP at the kiosks. Does that make sense?

Yes, there's a long, complicated thread dedicated to scamming the fp+ system. If you can't understand the instructions there, I don't think anyone is going to provide a cliffs notes version.

Makes sense- I wasn't sure it was a scam situation or not- we had bands from a past trip but didn't keep them. We got boring gray ones when our cool custom colored ones didn't work. It was a nightmare trying to figure out who's were who's and nobody wanted gray...
