split stay = 2 reservations. Can one do free dining for part?

Not sure how this all goes together with park tickets etc. Staying 2 resorts which means 2 reservations. Wonder about free dining for just part. But... I bet I can't. Would prob have to have 2 sets of park tickets and won't be doing that.

You do need to add park tickets to get the dining plan. If you do that for the first part of your stay, you can add enough days to your tix to cover your whole trip.
 
There are 2 options (note, both of these assume both check-in dates fall under promotion dates).

If the check-in date for Stay 1 is less than or equal to 3 days before the check-in date for Stay 2, you can get FD for Stay 2 and pick up the park tickets early (see the Ticketing Sticky in the Theme Parks and Attractions Strategy forum for details).

Otherwise, you can book FD for Stay 1 and purchase tickets long enough to cover both stays.

If you want a dining plan for both stays, you will need to purchase 2 sets of tickets.
