Split Ressie, what is my best way to do it?

I currently have 1 ressie at POFQ. We just found out some friends are going to join us two days after we arrive for the remainder of our trip. They have 5, so we all are going to stay at POR. DW suggested our family stay Deluxe the first two nights and then move to POR when our friends arrive.

What is the best way to do this, since I already have a ressie with deposit paid.

1. Do I cancel the original and then make two new ressies?

2. Will CRO transfer over the money to one of the new ressies?

What is the best option so I don't totally confuse CRO in this whole deal. I have actually been holding out for AP rates to avoid having to call back with that info. Plus, if no AP rates come out, we will end up renting DVC points for the first two nights and then stay value or POR the remainder of the trip.

The CRO's are very helpful and used to complex reservations - that is coming from experience.
Call up and explain what you want to do. Most likely, they will modify your initial reservation and keep the deposit on it.
If you are going to do the deluxe, you will have to leave a new deposit for whatever hotel you choose. It is one night's stay as a deposit for each reservation.
Lastly, you can book the rooms and if/when the codes come out you can attempt to apply them at that time. If there are discount rooms available, they will convert your reservation to the discount code rates.

We are going 10/22 to 11/5.
Going to change hotels 3 times.
Start out @ POFQ.
Daughter joins us change to SOG as she is AFR.
Than she goes home so than PORS.
I'm hoping for smooth transfers.
