Split reservation and dining plan.

I have 2 separate resort reservation for the week and I purchased the dining plan separately. Doest that mean i get 2 separate set of refillable mug or does the system recognize as 1 week stay?

You'll be able to claim two mugs if you want.

If we get the DDP for a split stay, we get it for the 1st half of the stay and up grade to the deluxe plan. That gives us food through the first night of our 2nd resort plus you can use the mugs during your entire stay.

If you have a split stay and have the DP for each, you'll get 2 mugs and you'll have to use up the credits from the first part by MN on the change day else you'll lose them. I understand this is an issue with the MB because they bands may change to the new room and orphan your DP credits. The other issue is if it's a split stay but matches up, DVC often combines those into one reservation. I agree Bill that a split stay or multiple rooms gives you some flexibility that you wouldn't have otherwise. For this situation we often would get it for one but not the other depending on specifics with the largest variable being time of arrival and departure from WDW assuming the group makeup and other choices are reasonable for the DP at all.

Thanks for the info. I don't think i'll have a problem using up the DP credits by MN. Im thinking getting QS for the 1st half and Basic for the rest.

If you haven't already, take a look at the deluxe plan and see if it'll work for either portion. It can be the best value by far for some situations.

I actually did consider the deluxe ddp for the last 1/2 of my stay and does look like a better value, but unfortunately one of those day im dining at Morimoto and they don't accept ddp. bummer
