Sorry, I'm confused... how does your dining res. interact with your resort res?
I have Dining reservations but not linked to my resort reservations ( I don't have Dining Plan yet) and I don't remember anywhere when making my reservations that I was asked if this was a DP res. So how would the system know that your reservation was segmented.... or am I being dense?
If you associate your room reservation with your dining reservation, you can make dining reservations for 10 days forward (or as long as your reservation) from 180 days. So at day 180 I can also make dining reservations for days 181-189 (if I have a booking that long). It's commonly called +10 window.
doconeill said it better than I did:
Also, to make reservations in the +10 window, you need to provide a resort reservation number of the agent doesn't already have it. I don't know how tightly connected they are now though.
If you attempt to make a reservation online for day 181, there is a prompt to sign in with the reservation number.
We hope to add the dining plan closer to check in now that you have to pay for it in advance.
