Remember, people (especially women) can get a little incontinent on scary rides.

Reminds me of those commercials, "you're not as clean as you think." You can bring all the anti bacterial wipes you want, if you're going to a place where there are lots of people, you'll be surrounded by their juices. Just hope you haven't killed all the bacteria that help you combat this.

mold! yeah! that's what is smelled like!

I'm not a germ-a-phobe in the very least...but the anti-bacterial wipes are a good idea - just to get rid of them smell on your hands at the very least.

Guess I don't have a good sniffer. I just smell the chlorine.
As far as refurbishments, I wish they would get things working INSIDE of Splash that have not been working for months! And they seem fairly simple.

I am not a germ o phobe but that ride is pretty gross at times. I think it is a mix of things - water and dirty people actually.

Since a portion of the ride is in the dark, I would think it gets pretty moldy inside the ride. There is always a bad smell in the flume...that is most likely the combo of water and sweaty people. Not as clean as you think is right! when you enter and exit the ride most people stand on the seats, which are wet, then you sit on it so there is always a muddy mix on the seats. So you have dirt, sweat and just a bunch of yuck on your clothes. You can wash your hands, but I have noticed the smell on my clothes too.

Is there still a collection of gum when entering the ride, after you get into the flume? That is pretty gross too.


It's a fun ride, I will never not go on it, but I think it needs a good cleaning more often than it gets.

The smell of the water at Splash Mountain is pretty nasty. I always joke around about smelling like Splash Mountain. I once apologized to someone who gave me a hug after a day at the Magic Kingdom--Sorry, I smell like Splash Mountain.

All I can say is the tap water itself in Florida is pretty stinky, almost skunky smelling, so I guess I am not surprised that the water at Splash Mountain stinks!
