okay, y'all. i have decided to be brave and ride splash mountain. i am one of those girls that does not "do" getting soaked. if i mention this to the CM will i be seated where i won't be soaked to the bone? i understand there is a chance of getting wet, and that is okay, but soaked--no thanks!!

no matter where you seat you don't get that wet. BTW when u go to AK don't go on KRR you'll get drenched

A little wet, never soaked. Just enjoy it.

The front seats tend to get a bit more wet than the others, but no one gets soaked. Usually it's refreshing, and you'll dry off quickly.

You should talk to my mother...after much worry she rode Spash Mt for the first time on our recent trip. She liked it! :D
As for getting wet, I have never really gotten too wet on it, however the first time we rode it on our last trip we got a good spray in the face. DH was in front with the kids with DH in the middle. He got really wet and the kids are so short that they didnt break the spray so DM & myself got a mild shower behind them too. Not totally drenched like you could get on KRR, but wetter than I ever remember getting on Splash. Then we rode again the next day and it wasnt so bad...but we werent in front either.

Buy some cheap, clear ponchos from the Dollar Store, and don't worry about getting wet!

could always do a trash bag too.... its amazing what you can do with trash bags. Really. Amazing piece of technology.

I don't know that I would wear a poncho on the ride, if the ride is operated normally and not "stopped" for any reason, chances are you'll get a little wet, but not drenched. However, sometimes a log is stopped for various reasons (safety, loading/unloading, bringing more logs on track, etc) and there is one spot in particular, after the "big drop"where I have been stopped and gotten drenched from a nearby waterfall. If I had a poncho to simply hold up to block the spray, I would have been fine.

As someone who strongly dislikes getting drenched (I just hate walking around in wet clothes afterward), I love Splash Mountain...you get a little wet, but nothing like on those rapids rides!

we were there last summer around middle of Aug. every day was rain, usually we have had showers, but anyways, luckily when it stopped raining i still had my poncho so i just kinda put it over my legs, cause i hate WET SEATS........lol. but usually we have never gotten that wet either. you will LOVE this ride......

The seats are a bit wet when you first get into the car. Stop by the bathroom first and grab some paper towels and wipe off the seat if it's wet. We love this ride ( see our name) and ride it over and over. The more you ride the wetter you'll get, but not drenched.
Have fun!!

We rode Splash Mountain in April last year. My husband who had been on before told me we would only get a bit wet. My younger son and I sat up front and both of us were drenched! It was late in the day and a bit cool so I was a bit upset that my son had to watch Spectro quite wet.
So, Just so you know we did get very wet.:( :p

I have sat up front before and have been soaked. But the second row also tends to get a little wet i would say your best bet would be to set in the 3rd or 4th row.:Pinkbounc

My biggest pet peeve with this ride is sitting in the log and having your bottom get wet from the previous riders. Getting paper towels from the bathroom is a good idea! I'll have to remember that one.

When loading onto the log, be the first one in in your row. That way, at the end of the ride, you're on the outside if it gets backed up to where the waterfall is. DH always gets in the log second and gets more wet. Either way though, it's just a little wet.

I've gotten very wet but not soaked. I love this ride. We just got back from the beach with kids and we did a log flume, and my daughter and I both said, "Geez, this sure isn't Splash Mountain." I can picture going down the hill as I write. Good luck and enjoy.
