Are there restraints on Splash Mountain and if so are they seperate for the two seats, like individual seat belts or together like a lap bar? TIA

Nope.

There are no restraints, and the seats that are side by side are open to one another (nothing seperating them). The rows from front to back are seperated, but not side by side seats.

Thanks, is there something to hold on to? What about kids? I know some log flumes have those rails on the sides, but those are usually where people sit one in front of the other. Do you just hold onto your kids for the drops?

Well,

They can't fall out of the sides because there is enclosure on the sides (you step down into the log when boarding).

In front of you is a padded bar that you can hold on to.

Also, really no part of the ride will require you to hold on your child. From the outside it looks worse than it is.

The drop is not as steep as it looks and it's very quick from beginning to end.

Even some of the dips in the ride are so mild that you likely will not have any reason to have to worry about "holding them in".
