Splash Mountain Rehab

I recall a discussion on the boards a while back discussing the rehab of SM and that it would not be open through March. I just looked at the Official Schedule and its not listed as a refurb. Anyone know what the truth is?

Check out miceage.com with their Disney Dateline weekly update with pictures. It's the best place for updates. They currently have pictures on Splash mountain right now. Every monday they update stuff from Disneyland.

KCMike is correct, most sources say it will be down until May. When I check on the official Disneyland calendar, it is listed as being closed.

I just looked at the Official Schedule and its not listed as a refurb. Anyone know what the truth is?

The official schedule goes well beyond dates that it is edited to show the correct information. It will fill in as we get closer.

Latest word is that they have closed all of Critter Country (for the next 6 weeks) during the Splash Mountain work since no one was going back there. Splash Mountain is supposed to be down through sometime in May.

It is indeed true that all of Critter Country will be closing for refurbishment effective from 26 January. This will affect all Attractions, Gift Shops and Restaurants in Critter Country.

Critter Country is expected to reopen in March, with Splash Mountain expected to reopen in May.

I hope Slpash Moutain opens during our trip in May. I didn't get to ride on my last trip because I was pregnant and I'm really looking forward to it this time. However, if it is not open I will still enjoy my trip

Last year when we were there it was closed until the end of May, right before Memorial Day weekend, and it looks like they are doing the same thing this year, until the 26th. It doesn't matter to us so much now that we've decided to go to San Diego for the first part of our trip, which just so happens to be on the day they are opening SM back up! We won't be at Disney until the 31st of May, and will be there all that week, so we should be good to go! My kids LOVE that ride, it's their favorite!

Bummer, we are only there until the 17th. My kids have always loved Splash, and have been riding it since they were barely 3 (they are tall).
