Splash down for 6 months.

If it's space, space would need more than three months most likely.

So would EE, considering that hasn't gone down for an extensive refurb since it opened. Problem is, Disney has given themselves an arbitrary deadline on when they want these 50 updates/new attractions done - and that deadline of 4-5 years isn't conducive to revamping all of these, especially considering how much time will be needed for a handful.

This is why I could see them pushing Space to the spring - it would be down for spring break season, but Disney could likely get it open by June/July. Whereas if they tried to do it in fall, it would likely be closed for the entire holiday timeframe.

Very true.

We will have to wait and see for now.

My wild guess is that they are going to close the Speedway, and maybe some other TL features, and start something new there. :) Or, at least that's my hope. No more fumes choking out the masses ;)

EE = Ellen's? Sorry, I got confused when it was talk of magic kingdom and I couldn't figure out what EE was there.

Expedition Everest. There's been talk going around that it could go down next year with Pandora open, and it's badly needed.

Splash needs to be shut down and repaired properly. We were there in March, and it was broken for long stretches of time every day. I have a few fast passes for it for our May trip, but am hesitant about using them. It is an awful ride to be stuck on. Last time we were stuck on the hill going up to the big drop for 25 minutes on one day and couldn't ride it with fast passes on two other days. We also paid attention to when it was down on the app - and it was not running half of the times that we checked. I feel that is is running while duck taped together.

Well if the refurb had gone on like the normal schedule appeared to be (down in Jan.) when you had gone in March it may not have been so bad.

On another thread these were the refurb dates from at least 2008:
  • August 28, 2017 to November 16, 2017
  • December 7, 2016
  • January 10, 2016 to January 14, 2016
  • January 5, 2015 to January 31, 2015
  • January 6, 2014 to March 21, 2014
  • January 2, 2013 to March 19, 2013
  • January 3, 2011 to January 31, 2011
  • January 3, 2010 to February 27, 2010
  • January 4, 2009 to January 17, 2009
  • January 1, 2008 to February 15, 2008
You can see that Disney pushed what we can probably assume was going to be a down time again this Jan. and moved it to be later in the year and information provided to us now is that this was so another refurb could happen on something else next year.

Not really. Many are hoping for Space Mountainotherwise I'd have to think it's a Fantasyland ride, maybe HM? A lot of possibilities.[

Haunted Mansion was last refurbed in 2007 I believe, along with Spaceship Earth. We went that summer and were pretty bummed about both those attractions being down. HM might be due for something since it's been ten years? :confused3
