Wondering how Spirit of Aloha is for families? We ❤️❤️❤️ Ohana's it's prob our fav restaurant! I have 4:40 ressi for Ohana on 12/20 but was thinking maybe we would like Spirit of Aloha?? Don't mind changing the date if needed. Is the food the same as Ohana? We r on the delux dining plan if that makes a difference. Suggestions please

If you haven't done the Spirit of Aloha Luau, I would recommend doing it at least once for the experience. And being on the deluxe dining plan is a perfect time to try it out! I think the food is very good although some picky eaters might not enjoy it as much. I would look at the menu ahead of time. You can also request things like pizza and chicken nuggets for the kids. The last time we went our kids were 5 and 7 and they enjoyed the show very much.

We do it every trip. The story line of the show is predictable, but the dancers are great! Kids and adults love it. The food is meh, but at least beer and wine is included! And it's a very good value on the dining plan, even though it uses 2 credits. I've calculated the value of the credits based on many restaurants - this show and Ohana's are both great uses of the credits. We always do the show and Ohana's during our trip. Ohana's is pretty much our favorite, too, and the food is very different at each.

We did it on our last trip when DD was 6 and DS was 3 and they really liked it. DS went up on stage when they called all the kids up there and really got into it. My DH made the resv and I don't remember exactly how the seating was organized but we sat a little ways back where the dining area was raised up. At first I thought it would be too far back but I think it allowed us to have a good view of everything and kept the fire from being too close, which I'm pretty sure would have frightened at least DS. The food was pretty good but for us this one was more about the experience of it all than just the food. Its a really cool experience that most people probably won't have the opportunity to have outside of visiting the actual islands. Definitely worth it. We did it on the first night of the vacation and it was a neat way to start off the trip. It also pacified the kids who wanted to run to the parks the second we checked in.

I have a ressi for Ohana at 4 that was the only time I could get and also candlelight processional dinner package with late lunch early dinner at 3:45 at biergarten. I was thinking about canceling the CP dinner package @ biergarten bc not sure that ds DD or dh will b too interested but mainly ds. Figure they would enjoy spirit of aloha more. I may catch CP on my own. If i book spirit of aloha should I keep or Cancel Ohana?

We always do both. I think Ohana would be more fun for the kids as they do games with the kids. Also the food is quite different than the dinner show.

A dinner ressie at 'Ohana at 4?? We always make ressies at opening, but have never seen them open before 5pm which is when I make our ressies! Are they opening earlier now? :confused3

We also 'love' 'Ohana's dinners, but after going to the Spirit of Aloha Luau once, we have no plans to return - didn't feel the $$$'s were justified in comparison. The show was just ok, and the meal was definitely just so-so to us. I would not personally cancel the Ohana dinner ressie.

I guess so, just looked and it's actually at 4:30 instead of 4.
