Spirit of Aloha show Poly worth the $$$ ?

I was trying to decide between HDDR and SoAS at Poly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I love both, but would say I like HDDR better, bit if you are staying at the Poly go to SOA it puts you in the tropical mood

I've never been to the HDD but the Spirit show is awesome, food is O.K. I've never had it piping hot and the quality is soso. I've been a couple of times just for the show and plan on doing it again in the future. The desert is really cool. I highly recomend it.

Another vote for the HDDR. We have done both shows and this is our favorite. The food is fried chicken, ribs, baked beans, cornbread and such, but the show is very entertaining. If you want the "island" feel, I suggest Ohana. It's good food and island fun with out breaking the bank .

We have done both and absolutely LOVE HDD. Have done Aloha and we hated it. Food cold, experience just ok, nothing special. Do Konas at Poly instead. A week from Sunday we are booked foe our 10th time at HDD!

I agree with the Hoop Dee Doo... Spirit of Aloha was nothing special for me. I was expecting fire dancers and the like, but definitely didn't get that. Hoop de doo never gets old no matter how many times you see it!

Both are good - I prefered the HDD show but both are tough with young kids (under 5) - not much space and the service staff are hard to grab.

SOA has a good atmospere though - especially if you are in a couple in the evening (I proposed to my wife there)

Another vote for HDDR. IMHO, SOA is just a waist of time and money.

I've only done HDD and we love it. But, we do want to try something different this time after doing HDD twice. We are going to try the Lua just so we can say we did. I have heard about 50/50 on whether people love it or hate it so we are going to give it a try. Good luck to you.
