Has anyone ever done this? Is it worth the price? Can someone post pictures? TIA

We did it, and it was alot of fun. Although we went with our DS, he was 3 at that time, and it didn't keep his attention a good portion of the time. He is now gonna be 6 on our next trip and would love watching it!

We did it in November 2005 and we really enjoyed it. DD was 6 and DS just turned 3 and they were entertained the whole time. The food was yummy too!

We did it last August and we won't be doing it again! The show has become very lame and cheesy and except for the actual native dancing one of the poorest done Disney productions I have ever seen, Why they had to change it from what it used to be I'll never know. The food was fair and very banquety. Obviously massed produced and tasted that way. One family near us got up and left in the middle.

We went last March and had a great time. My DD's were 11 and 7. They both enjoyed the food and the show. We had front row which by far were the best seats. I can't imagine the show being that great to watch from far back. I reserved right at the x number of days (can't remember the number) and booked category A. The beginning of the show was a little corny but the dancing and fire guy was great.

We did it May 2006 and had a blast - the show can be divided into 2 part: a somewhat hokey, corney skit and then 30-45 minutes of serious native dancing. There's a few breaks where the bring out more food etc. We loved the food, we loved the end dancing - the other couple with us is going again this year.

I'd go again too .

We saw it last September and had a wonderful time. The food was very good. I think I ate all the ribs myself. The dessert was chocolate mousse in the shape of a volcano with a raspberry sauce as the lava. It was so good I ate 3 of them. The rest of my family are not big sweet eaters and I just couldn't waste food:) .

The show's theme was centered around family and traditions. My DS's, 9 & 7, weren't totally bored and enjoyed the guy doing his act with the firestick.

As with anything you will get the good and bad and like us we went to form our own opinion and I am glad that we did. :)

the show was kind of boring in the beginning but it gradually increased into something worth while for us. The food was awesome if you like to eat alot (like me- I gain weight just looking at food). The fire dancer was great and I was drooling over the guys and their great bods!!

We did it in September of 2006 and loved it! Granted, the actual storyline to the show was a little lame. But the native dances and the background to the differant dances was very interesting. My DS who was 10 and DD who was 9 loved the fire twirler. I thought the food was very good and the presentation of the desert was great. And while you wait on your table you can stroll on the beach and get some great photos! Sorry my pictures that night did not turn out to good, but you can get the idea!

My ADR date us coming up in about 2 weeks and this is the first thing I am going to request! I cannot wait :cheer2:

So this isnt a disney themed luau it seems like it is more like an authentic luau like we had seen on our honeymoon in hawaii.

We did this last summer and wont be doing it again. The food was ok, dessert wasn't very nice. The show was the biggest let down, very bad storyline, it needs to be rewritten, or maybe introduce some Disney characters.
The dancing was nice, but the fire eating lasted too long and he dropped his fire stick thing in the middle of our tables!
The CM's worked extremely hard though, very good service.

I did it once and thats enough. The show was boring and seemed to go on FOREVER, (the only good thing about the show was the guy who plays with the fire) waitress wasn't very nice and the food was just so-so.

Go to 'Ohana- the food is excellent and they have a nice little show where a woman comes out and sings, and plays with the kids. That's what I would do anyway.:)

It is definitely more like an authentic luau. Well, what I would imagine at least, I have never been to one!!! :rotfl2:

But no, there are no Disney characters or any Disney storyline to it. Grit your teeth through the first part of the "show" it is definitely a little cheesy. But once you get to the dances and stuff, it is great!

My neighbors just went to Disney last week. They had an 8PM luau scheduled. It was cancelled at the last minute due to rain and left them scrambling to find somewhere to use their TS credits. It was 2 and it was their last night in WDW. They ordered room service at Poly instead.

Just something to keep in mind. Have a plan B.

We are going in OCT. When years ago, can't wait to see the changes.
