Wondering if anyone can help.

During our proposed visit (bit far away, end of June 2013) I plan to book this show (probably start of July).

What I was planning to do was hope to get into the show and have the meal and then head over to MK to watch the final firework display.

Can anyone answer the following:-

1. How long does the show last, as there is a 5.15 and 8pm show, I'd prefer the 8pm one.

2. What time would the fireworks be at MK at the start of July?

3. Can you still get into MK just for the Firework show?

TIA

This is the one I might be able to answer. Do you mean without an admission ticket? Guests can't enter the park without admission at any time, for any reason. You'd probably be better off watching from the Polynesian beach.

I'm also going to say that the show goes off at about 10 PM in the summer - if you're at the 8 PM luau I'm guessing you are going to miss it, unless they let the luau guests go watch from the beach and I've never heard of that happening.

Hi thanks for the response.

No, I'd have my tickets anyway, so I would have an admission ticket. Just wondering if they'd actually let someone in the gate at that time.

I've saw on Youtube people watching from the beach the fireworks, so I was guessing that was the alternative option? I wouldn't be staying at Polynesian, but as it's a Resort, I wasn't under the impression that they would be questioning every guest who happens to be walking around their grounds?

The Luau does last approx 2 hours so your best bet is to do one of two things:
1. go to the 515pm Luau and then either head to MK to watch the fireworks

or

2. go to the 8pm Luau and then hopefully catch the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian

You will be able to stay on the beach at the Polynesian to watch the fireworks, even if you are not a resort guest so no worries there.

Another option would be to go to the Luau one night and then view the fireworks on a different night. This way you won't be stressed trying to get all of this in during one night.

Hope this helps!

Hi Marlower,

Thanks for that.

Yes, tbh I was only thinking around the lines of watching the firework display if I had enough time, going by what is being said I'll probably do the beach thing.

It is my intention to watch the firework display anyway within the park.

I was intending to watch the firework on our last night, however I'm a little worried in case there is a weather issue or so.

Gotcha! It's always a good idea to have a back up plan for weather! Planning is half the fun...sometimes more than half the fun:)
