Hey guys...my parents will be joining my fiance and I for the last couple days of our honeymoon in October...what are your thoughts on Spirit of Aloha?

Good for 4 adults??

I went 2 weeks ago and do not think it is worth the money. The food is okay, but the entertainment is not great. The storyline of the show is really lame and the show doesn't pick up until the end. When the hula dancers and fire dancer come out it's pretty good, but the rest of it is boring. I would spend my money elsewhere.

Unfortunately I agree, save the money.

The original show was great, a traditional luau. Now it is part play (1st half) and part luau (2nd half).....not enough luau, too much play in my opinion. This is one thing where I think they Disney'fied it too much.

:(

I totaly agree. Ate there last November w/2 daughters. That Auntie So & So was a real PIA. VERY BORING! Probley the worst night I have ever spent in Disney. Food was good---they would bring seconds if requested. SHOW TOO SUGAR COATED I almost puked!

The luau several years ago was much better. Even the Mickey Luau was better than this one. Stay Away!

There was recently another thread requesting opinions about this show, and the resounding consensus was that it's not worth your time. I have to agree, having been there last August. As previous posters have said, the food is okay, but the show is lame with a capital L! As I said in a previous post, it was the only disappointment of our trip. We had seen the old show a while back, and its emphasis on the dancing made the show much more authentic. I have no idea why they changed it! If I were going to spend money on a show, I'd go see the Hoop Dee Do; at least you'll laugh! I wish somebody had warned us about this before we spent the time and money (didn't know about these boards back then!).

I have to differ. My dbf and I went for the first time last March and absolutely loved it. This and seeing Cirque du soleil were the only things he requested I book for our upcoming trip. I think it is very nice for adults. They would also probably love to stroll around the grounds and hit the tambu lounge for a drink before or after.

Thanks for the imput guys :)
We went to the original luau they had at the Poly a lonnnnnng time ago and I remember loving it as a kid. We still have the pooka shell necklaces they gave us. I was wondering if it's still the same basic idea or if it had changed...

Maybe we'll try for Ohana's just for dinner instead...

I almost fell asleep. Been there, done that, but we won't be going back any time soon. The food was okay though.
