Wondering if anyone has ever sat through one of those stupid timeshare sales pitches and then received a free 2 night stay at a Marriott through Spirit Incentives. I've done my research and checked out the timeshare company who is in good standing with the BBB. I tried to check out their incentive company as well, but they have just recently registered with BBB so there is no review as of yet. I have to put down $50 (refundable) as a deposit for the hotel. The timeshare company said I would have to do this, and now looking at the form for the incentive company I have to send it to them. I kinda just wanted to know if anyone has done this. I dont want to get scammed out of $50, however I feel that if the original company is in good standing with the better business bureau it really cant be a scam.

Big question: is it worth your time and stamina to sit through the high-pressure sales pitch (usually at least 1 1/2 hours) for the free nights?

My DW and I sat through a couple of these in the past in Orlando -- on one we got $250 Disney dollars (!) and I forget what the other one netted us. Now we just say no, because it's not worth it to sit through the pitch.

Yea I already sat through it. When they tried to sell me something I simply explained I was making car payments and putting myself through grad school and there was no way I could afford to pay for vacations when I have friends with shore houses and my family is DVC. They realized I was not going to bite and were just like ok but when youre on your feet give us a call. since i did sit there for an hour, and made the BF sit there with me I'd really like to be able to use the hotel stay!

Does anyone have any positive (or even neutral) experience with Spirit Incentives and their so-called free trip? I can find LOTS of negative feedback on the internet, and I was wondering if anyone had anything positive to share. We sat through the timeshare speal and walked away without signing anything, but we are wondering how much trouble claiming the "free cruise" will be. Fortunately for us, we can be rather flexible with our travel plans.

I have done this but not with spirit. You do pay the deposit. We did it and had to cancel and then reschedule, they sent us our money back and we still had the year to make another reservation. I did not mind for a 7 day cruise on carnival and paid fee and port taxes. I would do it again. Alot less than paying for one in full. Jo
