Spirit Exit Seat Question

Has anyone here flown Spirit in an emergency exit row seat? The big front seats were already sold out for our flight, and the seat diagram said that these seats afforded the next largest amount of leg room. We purchased the emergency exit row seats for this reason. Does anyone know it there is overhead space for these seats? We are flying on their largest airbus. There are only two seats in the row that we will be sitting in.

Thanks for any help!

We fly Spirit often and since my husband is 6'6" we always try to sit in the big front seats. If our ds, 8, is not with us (since he is not old enough to sit in exit row) we have sat there as well.
Not sure if it will be the same plane or not, but the leg room was very comparable to the big front seats, but keep in mind there may be an attendant sitting near you as well. Ours sat facing us very near the exit door. It is kind of awkward and she had to keep getting up and stepping around my husband's long legs.

I don't recall if the overhead bins were already full or not. My husband is the one who hoists the luggage up in the bins. I do believe if you pay for a carry on, that you are able to board first, so you shouldn't have a problem finding an open bin.

Thanks so much for the reply. We have never flown with Spirit before. I was also wondering if we will have a place to stow our personal items. Hope we don't have to stow them up top!

Even though I have read many negative reviews, we decided to risk it. We're not Pooh sized, but we do have long legs! The cost of flying with them for our dates was literally about 1/3 of the other flights that we found. Of course we are flying on Saturday morning, and there is now a hurricane that might mess things up. Fingers crossed!

If I recall, they did let you put your personal items under the seat in front of you, but just make sure they are of the correct size so they will fit all the way underneath.

I do like Spirit. I don't think they are any worse than any other airline I have used in the past, but we have saved several hundred dollars. As long as you are keeping the extra fees in mind while you are comparing flights, it isn't really an issue.

Have a great flight!

I don't know if the OP will see this by take off time!

http://www.seatguru.com

Seat Guru states that there is no floor storage for your seats so for take off & landing you need to use the overhead bins for things you would normally keep on the floor in front of you.

Take a look @ seatguru for other info. about the plane you are flying on.
Hope the hurricane is a non-issue for your trip!
Peace.
