So I almost always fly Southwest as my DH flys them for travel and we always use points to travel. But in August, I'll be heading from WDW with my nephew and parents to go to Fort Lauderdale to meet my DH and there are no flights on Southwest from MCO to FLL. So I priced the other options and Spirit came back with the best price. My problem is I'm Pooh-sized and I've read many reviews that their seats are very small. I'm willing pay the upcharge for the wider front row seat, but I don't know how that compares to seats on a standard plane (which I fit, barely). Also is there a problem with having a place to stash my purse during the flight with it being the front row. It's an hour long flight so I can put up with almost anything. I just want to know that I'll fit in the seat. Even with a checked bag and that front seat they are $40 less than the competition.

we fly spirit all the time out of AC ,not always on time{voucher for next trip} but front seats are as big as the others

No, the "big front seats" are a bit wider (not much) and provide extra legroom:

Spirit's seats are actually wider than Southwest's. Check seatguru.com. The difference is their pitch (legroom) is a knee numbing 28 inches! Southwest give you several more inches of legroom.

OP - when you sit in a bulkhead seat, all of your personal items must be stowed in an overhead bin during take off and landing.
