Spirit Airline????

HI EVERYONE,

I JUST BOOKED MY AIRFARE FOR MY AUG. 2004 VACATION, I NEVER USED SPIRIT AIRLINE, DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE A GOOD AIRLINE, THEY WERE VERY CHEAP.
IF ANYONE HAS ANY OPTIONS OR ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS CO. PLEASE LET ME KNOW

i would like to know as well. i have never flown on them. if you don't mind sharing, what was your rate? i am looking for airfare for june 04 under $200 but haven't found any. if the price is right, i could arrange transportation to an airport that has spirit airlines.

I have friends out east that use Spirit frequently and have never been disappointed. That is a really good airfare!

We have flown Spirit 6 times from Detroit to Orlando. We do not expect a lot from them as they are a no-frills carrier. We have always gotten great fares. As a matter of fact, I booked our upcoming trip with them for $198 (with all those add'l fees inc.) pp. Nobody else could touch that fare. Before 9/11 I do recall one trip when the pilot circulated the cabin and was cracking jokes with the kids. I guess those days are over. All in all, I have no problem recommending them to anyone. Go ahead and book your flight...and enjoy your trip!!

We booked Spirit air a few weeks ago for the first half of our honeymoon to disney in April and we are looking at them for the second half again in august. We are flying from detroit and it cost us 189$ total (including taxes).

DFH has flown with them a few times last year when I was still in NY and had no problems with them.

Like shelbyjosh already said, they are just a basic no-frills airline. But they do provide great service and have really amazing rates. I have flown with them from Detroit to Orlando and New Jersey without any problems or complaints. I think you can pick you seating on their website. Congrats on that great rate!

Robin, are you a DVCer?? Where in Chesterfield are you? DH work office is at 23 east of 94. And yes, we did get to pick our seats out. They allow that for online bookings and only within 90 days of travel. You can also print out your boarding passes within 45 days of travel. That doesn't do me any good since we have to check luggage anyways!
