No question the most uncomfortable seats ever. Much smaller than any other airline. I am 5'11 and my knees were up against the seat in front. Glad it was a short flight.

I have to agree. I thought the seat cushions felt like cotton glued to cardboard, and the leg room was non existent on the plane I was on.

According to Seatguru, Spirit's standard seat pitch (distance from the back of one seat to the back of the seat behind it) is 28 inches. In comparison, Southwest is 32-33 inches, and jetBlues regular seat oitch is 34 inches with n extr four inches in the Extra Room seats.

Actually, Spirit's seats are not smaller than other airlines. They are 17.75 inches wide; many airlines fly planes with a seat width of 17 inches.

Your complaint is really about pitch, or legroom, which is explained in the post above. Of course, the amount of seat padding makes a difference in comfort as well.
