I discovered the Betty Crocker (I think) pouch of dry molasses cookie mix last year, and it's really not too bad but it doesn't taste as "molasses-y" as I would like. I like the texture of the cookies it produces and I am TERRIBLE at baking cookies from scratch, but can anyone suggest what I can add to them for more spicy flavor? I did try a tablespoon or so of molasses but it didn't do much and I didn't want to add too much liquid and mess up the texture or anything.
Would a teaspoon or so of powdered ginger, or allspice, or anything like that help?
