Spin-Off of the Shirt Thread: Do You Wear T-Shirts

As defined by a short-sleeved, crew neck knit shirt with some sort of logo, slogan or graphic on it. Inspired by the shirt thread where TONS of people seem to be wearing Disney-themed t-shirts. For me it's a no, unless required as part of a work or volunteer project. That shape of shirt looks terrible on me. I do have one or two v-neck lady-shaped ones that I wear sometimes.

I guess I should have read your post before I voted. I voted yes because I wear what I define as t-shirts - most of them don't have logos, slogans or graphics on them. Most of my non-work shirts are like the one below

Ha! No it isn't. When I have to wear one I cut the sleeves about 1/2 off and the band around the neck off and usually make a cut up the side so I can tie the bottom in a knot. Yes, I know it's waaaay too Flash Dance'y but the boxy style is just a disaster on me.

I'm not going to judge at all! I cut the sleeves off to specifically go for boxy for myself, but that's to look rather genderless. I've had people freak out on me when I've bought a 30$ concert shirt and then asked "Where are the scissors?"

Do You Wear T-Shirts


Pretty much every day.....

I have a t-shirt collection (started over 40 years ago). Even after doing some culling to the collection about a year ago, I have over 300 of them. A different one every day, unless I'm going somewhere dressy, then I do have regular blouses to wear.

Today's shirt - In-N-Out. Got it about 15 years ago.

I only wear them when I'm at home. If I'm going out I tend to wear something with a different neckline, not a crew neck. But around the house, tees are comfy and cozy.

Not who you quoted but...They are the only shirt I wear at home - generally men's style at home and this is wear I DO wear ones with logos. Generally ones from the brewery I used to work for.

I usually only wear them at home. I have "dressy" t-shirts - no logo, v-neck, heavier fabric, women's cut - that I wear out.

Depends on the time of year but on weekends if I'm not going out anywhere it's usually some version of a tank top with a hoodie. In winter maybe a cozy sweater. On weekdays I just wear whatever I wore to work. I rarely change when I come home so it could be a blouse or dressier top - I've got a lot of different types.

I’m like you, I don’t wear graphic tees. I don’t have a specific reason, I just don’t. The ONE exception I have made since my Mondetta days back in high school is that I just bought an Old Navy shirt that says Old Navy. I bought it because it’s a shade of blue I really like and it was like $7.

I'd be afraid I would ruin my "good" clothes if I didn't change when I got home. So when I am home it is either yoga pants or sweats and t-shirts or sweatshirts in the winter. I don't own any tanks, except ones I wear under shirts/dresses to make them more modest.

Besides getting supper together I rarely do anything in the evenings that would mess my clothes up - I just don't have it in me at the end of the day. I also wear tanks/camis under a ton of other tops to "deal" with the necklines.

I know what you mean. Aside from being a messy cook I have 2 cats that climb all over me. Luckily now I’m working from home (pandemic) I’ve rarely had to put on my ‘work’ clothes for videoconference otherwise they would have so many holes in them by now!

I’m a big fan of casual and comfortable. When it’s not a pandemic I’m the sort of person that stays in my yoga clothes to run errands on the weekend because it’s easier than changing back and forth if I’m walking with friends, going to the supermarket, cleaning the house, going to yoga, etc. (a typical Sunday). T-shirts are great!

I wear one everyday, but NO logos. If one gets stained or torn, which is not often, it goes into the wear for yard work or housework, the others are for going out and running errands. After 28 years of working in a corporate environment, I hate to dress up, so I try to be casual and comfortable now.
