I had a Rallye Gold (actually sort of mustard yellow) Opel GT that I called Gandalf the Gold. Later a Porsche that was the color of a Chinese red pepper (like in Sichuan dishes), so that was Pfeffer (German word for "pepper"). My first Subaru was Yama Yagi, Japanese for "mountain goat." My current Subaru is Pommy because it's the color of pomegranate arils.

Yes.
My wife's Camry is Brownie, because it is brown.
My Flex is Moose, because it was built in Canada and the first thing my wife thinks of when she things of Canada are moose
My 65 Mustang is Bubbles the Beast because it is Champagne Beige and doesn't have power steering.

No I’ve never named my cars.

Which leads me to an add on question. If you drive a SUV or crossover do you still call it a car? I just got a Trailblazer, which is a SUV. I find I call it my “Trailblazer” because calling it a car seems weird.
For years I called my big SUVs a truck (which confused people who thought of a Range Rover as an SUV but we had them before that was a common term). I now have a small, technically a SUV which frankly, I think is really just a hatchback, so once again I'm confused and call it a Car lol.

They have ALL had names over the years (I usually got 150 to 200k miles on them), SweetPea (green SUV), Two (which was SweetPea Two), Beast (huge black SUV I still miss), and current Bow/Beau - which I was NOT going to name but when I bought it and walked out the salesperson had put this ginormous red bow on it like I bought myself a present? I laughed, but the name struck me as appropriate as I drove off (without the bow, thank heavens).

Yup - mine have all had names. I currently have Belle - she is blue and the color reminds me of Belle in her blue dress. Previous were Baby and Little Green. I believe my parents car is Silver Streak, but I am not sure.

I've only owned one car and I haven't given it a name. I've given the RV a few names over the years though. None of them DIS friendly. :)

I used to, but I didn't name my new car. I am not as "in love" with it as I was with other cars and also I am trying not to be too attached as parting wiht some of my older rides was difficult.

I named my first car but that’s it. It was a Subaru Brat and I named it Tully after professional wrestler Tully Blanchard, who was briefly nicknamed Super Brat.

Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't, kind of depends on the vehicle. Some just beg for a name. Right now my car doesn't have a name but the one I had before it was named Kit. It was one of the first cars that had the on board hands free calling feature and the first time my son and I got in it, it spoke to us and my son said "Mom, you've got Kit" (Knight Rider). Hubby's truck is sometimes called the monster, big old Dodge Ram Dually. His car is called the zoom zoom, little Infinity. Our RV is called Hannah. The brand is a Montana so it just named itself. Hubby's truck before this one was Big Red cause it was a big ole red truck.

It started when our daughters were young and has just continued. Scarlett started getting me where I need to go last year when Ruby retired her slippers.
