SPIDERS...Why did it have to be....SPIDERS

We flew with WestJet! They were excellent and they came through for us. It's my DH that's lucky I didn't kill him after what he did!!!!! lol I guess I'll just have to start a TR even if it's without photos, or maybe I'll try to upload at least one or two. The problem is they come out so big and I don't know how to make them smaller.

quote: "Jasmine is still not impressed that she's legal to drink at home, but not in the World....oh well dear, take a picture of us with our drinks"

Ha... that was so funny... sounded just like me to our son Jamie who turned 18 last October. But boy, those drinks were good. I've been googling the recipe and have found differing recipes. Do you happen to know the recipes?
I read on the boards where one person said there is vodka in the grand marnier slushie! So now I'm really confused. I have a friend going in February so I'm going to get her to ask the guys right at the booth since I've heard that they'll tell you if you ask!

And yes... I'm so sick of this weather. I went out for a bit yesterday only because I had to. Other than that... the van battery froze and I don't need to leave the house anyway as I work out of my home and my clients come to me so that's good!!! I just can't wait for this deep freeze to be over!!
But I'm sure enjoying your TR in the meantime. We never made it to the boardwalk and it looks so nice. Well maybe that'll be a reason to go back then!

Have a good day!
Debbie

If you happen upon those recipes I would love to have them,...could be lethal though...imagine a Winnipeg summer and slushie's:cloud9:

Today was brutal again....I got up to go to the gym but when I saw the howling wind and snow...I wanted to go back to bed  But then I figured I was up and might as well just get going....the wind was awful though! That sucks about your battery....that's never good! Hope you get it up and running again!!

I'm especially loving your pictures today! Epcot and the Yacht Club are my absolute WDW favorites. I'm actually leaving for Orlando Feb.6. One night at ASMoives, 2 nights at my brothers house and then 2 nights at the Boardwalk. My brother and nephew will be staying with me. I CANNOT wait to get out of snowy freezing cold NY.

Mine too! How nice that your leaving so soon...you guys have had your share of bad weather too lately! Don't blame you for wanting to get out!!:lmao: I can't wait to hear what you think of the Boardwalkpopcorn::

Love all of the pictures of the Beach Club! We stayed there a few summers ago and that place is what I imagine my heaven to be like:cloud9: When we ate at Beaches 'n Cream I was really suprised how small it was. It was yummy though!

I would absolutely love to stay there...it is my dream resort to stay at:cloud9:

I was shocked at how small the restaurant was too....we were kinda squished at our little table. When the food came, it made it all worth while!!!

Thanks for the warning! I've been lurking and really enjoying the updates. I'll be ready to cover my eyes - I hate spiders!

No problem!! I hate spiders, I'm terrified of them, and they give me the heebie geebies beyond belief...so I feel your pain!

GREAT UPDATE!!!

I love love love YC!! I just wish the price wasn't so darn high but of course you know why!

The desserts look sooo yummy!

I was wondering when the spiders come into play, at least they are not bed bug!!!

I agree, I wish it wasn't so darn expensive! Jasmine and I have gotten in the habit of going for 2 weeks and there is no way I could afford YC for 2 weeks....I don't know if I could afford one week:lmao:

I checked for bed bugs too!!! I always do...people say I'm crazy but one of the ladies I work with brought them home from their vacation in Minneapolis and it cost her over $1000 to get the exterminator in....I rather rip the room apart and be sure!!

Those desserts look so yummy!
I would love to stay at the Yacht Club one day too. It would be so nice to be able to just walk to Epcot.
I can't wait to read about the spiders! :scared1:

I couldn't agree more, that's exactly why I would want to stay at YC or BW...to just be able to walk to my favorite park would make me so happy!!!

You know I always forget about Beaches and Cream and I would really like to eat there at some point. Maybe I'll cancel one of my ADRs and go there instead.
Seeing your pictures have me so excited about my trip!:woohoo: I really could spend a whole trip just at Epcot. I love it there!
I can't wait to finally hear about the inspiration for the title of this TR!

If we weren't constantly changing our ADR's something wouldn't see right:lmao: We loved Beaches and Cream and I can't wait for August to go again!

I'm excited to let you guys know all about them:eek:

The yacht club looks beautiful, this is definitely one of my faves of the deluxe resorts and it looks like you guys really enjoyed your time wandering around there.

Beaches and Cream looks delicious, wow those sundaes are huge!

Looking forward to hearing about the spiders:goodvibes

It reminds me of being back down east by the ocean....I guess it just brings back childhood memories:cloud9:

Those sundaes were amazing and huge!! I ate about 1/3 of mine and I thought that was good!!

Great update! I love yours and Jasmine's patriotism! Everyone should have great love for their country! We always think of you when we're in Canada at Epcot :goodvibes

Your pictures of YC/BC are beautiful! We really loved staying there last summer and your pics brought back great memories :goodvibes

Spiders don't bother me (too much ) so I'm looking forward to hearing how your TR got it's name :)

You're right, everyone should have a great love for their country, we're all very fortuntate to live where we do aren't we:goodvibes

I wish spiders didn't bother me....Jasmine and I actually yell at each other if we come across one in the house because neither one of us want to kill them. I will add though, Jasmine has never actually killed one....I always have to do it:confused3

Great update, Queen. We've never been to Beaches & Cream and that food and desserts look yummy. The pictures of the resort are simply beautiful.

I too am sorry we won't be there at the same time. :sad2:

I can't wait to read about the MNSHP. Don't forget to pop over to my PTR when you have time.

Hi there,

I wanted to say Hi and that I've been thinking about you and Jas. I've been absent for months and have my work cut out for me getting caught up!!

Thanks Kathy! It really was as good as it looks!! I am hoping to get an update up tonight!! Keep an eye out!!

Sophia!!!

You must have know Jas and I were talking about you....on our way downtown this morning I said to her "I'm going to send Sophia a PM tonight, I haven't heard from her in so long and I'm a little worried" and here you are:cool1:

So happy you're back, please say hi to Joe for us!!!

The food at Beaches and Cream looks sooooooooo good. We went over there last May, but the wait was too long so we decided to leave. Dallas is allergic to peanuts too and he, like you, doesn't want to be near anyone eating anything with peanuts or peanut butter. I carry our epi pen with us everywhere we go just incase!!

I somehow got way behind...could be that little thing called "year-end" at work

How nice that you were able to spend the morning and lunch with Peg and Geodec :goodvibes I could almost feel the heat radiating out of the pictures, it must have been a hot day. Great pics of the BC (at the top of my some day wish list as well :cloud9:) and area...I'm hoping to take the time to do some similar wandering on the "kid-less" part of our next trip.

Can't wait to hear the spider story - once I know where a spider is, the spider itself does not bother me, its the startle factor that always freaks me out!

I have my epi pen everywhere too...I actually carry 2 with me just to be on the safe side! It was only 2 years ago that my doctor told me it's good for 15 minutes so if you're further than 15 minutes away from the hospital get another one....so I did!!!

You gotta love year end!!:rotfl2:

You hit the nail right on the head, it's the startle factor! I hate when you pull the shower curtain back in the morning and one of those sewer spiders is in the tub....well, I would take those over what we saw in Florida!!!!

What a small world....what's the odds that someone you work with is from Winnipeg...bet she's glad she's not here right now with the stupid weather we've been having:lmao:

My coworker laughs when we complain about being cold here. She said when she was a child she used to go outside with her sblings/ friends and make real igloos and stay in them all day! :scared1: We are far to wimpy to do that here!

I love your Animal Kingdom pictures! DeVine and the Safari pictures all turned out really good.

Cool Dooney bag! I got one for Christmas and I love it, but you are right about non-Disney people not getting it. I have been getting a lot of compliments from five-year-old girls, though. :rotfl:

Beaches & Cream looks so good! I definitely want to try it someday.

Can't wait to hear the spider story!

We have great childhood memories of tobagganing, ice skating in the back yard, outdoor hockey games...now I just want winter to be over and it gets worse every year! Florida is looking so good to retire!!

I get the strangest looks from people if they actually get a really good look at my bag:lmao: Hopefully I will have that spider update done this weekend!!

Ick.. the spider post is coming? :scared1:

Nice update. :thumbsup2 You have me so close to trying one of these grey goose things.. They must be something else! Beaches & Cream looks too cute, but those desserts are HUGE. I knew they were supposed to be big, but wow. I'd never actually seen any pics before.

That is too funny about Jasmine complaining about being "legal" in Canada but not in Florida....Oh well dear, now please take a photo of us with our grey goose slushies.:rotfl:

Can you believe I still haven't had one? I know...I have to remedy that soon. They look so delicious I can almost taste them now!

What a wonderful way to spend the day in Epcot and B&C with your family. Holy Moly...that No Way Jose looks amazing! That's yet another one for the to-do list!;)

I am nervous and anxious at the same time for this spider update. Hope its not too bad.

Yes, I am going to have it up tonight before I go to bed:goodvibes

GGS are my favorite drink hands down anywhere. I'm one of those people who prefers fruity drinks where you can't really taste the alcohol at all, but there is something about those slushies that I love...could be anytime I've had one it's been super hot and humid:rolleyes1

HUGE is right! You could actually make a meal out of those desserts!

When Jasmine turned 18 I told her she would be responsible for her portion of any trips we take....except the one when she turns 21....she wants to go to Epcot and have a cocktail in every country....not in the same night though:lmao: I told her I would pay for that trip as her present!

It was one of my favorite days on that trip....I did miss my nieces though:sad2:

The spider update is coming....and just a warning...there are pictures:eek:

ARRRGGHHHH I hate when you get a post all ready and you lose it:headache:

It's now almost 1045pm and too late to start over so I will try again tomorrow...I know how you're all so looking forward to the spider post:lmao:

In the meantime though, we got Jasmine's suitcase out yesterday and all the clothes she's decided to take on the cruise are packed. I have taken Friday off to take her to the airport (her request...you all know how she loves to fly). She had a moment of tears yesterday as we were getting her packed and I asked her why she was crying. She said because she's sad that I'm not going with her. How sweet is she? I guess she's so used to us taking our vacations together that it hit her that I'm sitting this one out. I told her she would have a great time and to just think about what a great time we were going to have in August!!!

They are flying Winnipeg to Chicago then Chicago to Orlando on Friday and then off to the ship on Saturday! I reminded her that this time last year we were actually in WDW and how cold it was. She has decided to wear jeans, a hoodie and a down vest for the sail away party just in case the weather is still cold in Florida!!

I have given her strict instructions to take a lot of pictures so we can share some with all of you. Hope everyone had a great weekend and I promise the spider post will be up as soon as I can get a few moments.

Mmmm, Beaches and Cream looks soooo good! We've only been there once and it was kind of cheap because we did the "takeout" ice cream and they don't offer any of the good sundaes. Boo.

Great pictures of the YC/BC/BW. I love that area. :goodvibes

I hope Jasmine has a great time

It is sort of lonely going on a vacation or doing something away from home without a parent being there. I know how it felt doing WDW solo for a couple days and how grown up I felt it was weird  and my parents were there just not with me

It's so annoying to lose a post right before it's done. I had worked on one the other night and clicked preview and lost it. If only I'd clicked Post instead! :badpc:

I hope Jasmine has a great cruise. And maybe some warm weather. :goodvibes
