I took today off to take Jasmine to the airport and they departed on time and actually landed half an hour early which will be helpful considering they only had an hour in Chicago so at least now they should be able to grab something to eat!

I am so glad she departed today without any delays. I hope the traveling is going well. I would love nothing better than to be leaving on a Disney cruise right now. So jealous!

Wow, we're getting to the Spiders??? LOL - I remember spending one day re-reading your whole TR trying to see if I had missed them somehow. Now I know I hadn't....

Melanie and I (and our husbands) had a great two weeks in January (10-23). We decided we'd post our TR separately focusing mainly on our own experience with our hubby's and as a foursome giving readers 2 different perspectives. Make sure you drop into mine, and also into hers. It seems quite difficult to get anyone over that actually leaves a footprint.

Yes...looks like the spider post will have to wait until tomorrow...I ended up having to run out this afternoon and now I have to make dinner and get some laundry done....but for sure 100% the spider post will be up tomorrow.

They landed at 745 and Jasmine just texted me saying they're waiting to get off the plane. She said the flights were perfect....You and me both...it was so hard to watch them walk through those doors at customs without me But I know it will be all ok when we're all at the airport in August!!!

Somehow I missed the Epcot and B&C update. Looks like a beautiful day and great company!!! I do like the look of the BC but we are so in love with kidani it is hard to not stay there.

Where does Jasmine's cruise sail out of? And how many days and what are the ports? Has she cruised before?
We did a Carnival Cruise out of Port Canaveral on Jan. 1st right after our Disney trip and we did Eastern Caribean. It was really choppy that week and I was "rocking" for a week after we got home.
It was our first cruise and although we had a great time and relaxed, I don't know if I would do a cruise again. (unless of course someone told me they were taking me and paying!!

I will have to go...I've heard great things about it!

Hopefully if we have a slow melt we won't be looking at another 1997...Jasmine was 4 and she still remembers it!! I've heard them mention "flood of the century" a few times again....not good!

You and your DD remind me a lot of my mom and I. We travel a lot together and have always been very close. I'm 30 now, no longer living at home and don't get to see her every day (usually once a month on average) - although we talk pretty much daily on the phone! We are going to Disney in March actually (subtle plug to read my pre-trip report - see siggie for link ) She's the only one who shares in my Disney obsessions - although hers is not nearly as severe as mine.

I hope Jasmine is having a great time on her cruise. I LOVE cruising, but haven't done a Disney cruise yet. Of course, living in South Florida, its very easy to drive to the port and hop on the ship - no added cost for flying/hotel.

I don't know your personal situation, but my mom was a single mom raising me and my brother who is 11 years older than me, so my mom and I were always together and I'm sure that's how our bond formed. Even now that I don't live with her, or even in the same city, we are still very close.

I'm trying to save too! My mom is retiring in 2013 but we are going as a family (myself, DB and family) to Alaska! She rarely speaks up and says what she wants to do, always just goes with the flow and is happy as long as she is with family, but she has been wanting to do Alaska for a very long time!

I was born and raised in Florida, but believe it or not, I have only been on 5 cruises and all have been within the last 5 years! They are a lot of fun. I like them because I can't check email, text, or look up things on my iphone so it forces me to relax, but there is also a lot to see and do while in port. Plus food!

can you believe this is the third time I've tried to do this update today? Good thing I have a lot of time on my hands with Jasmine away! Here goes again...this was the day we would be attending MNSSHP in the evening so we were going to have a pool/DTD for dinner day! I was really looking forward to grabbing my book, a coffee and a lounge chair. Jasmine decided once we got to the pool she was ready for breakfast so off she went. I thought I would just lay back, close my eyes and enjoy the sounds of the other families around the pool. All of a sudden I hear "mom, you have to come and see this'' to which I replied "no I don't" You see, it was the look on her face and the tone of her voice that whatever she saw I was not going to like. She gave me the hang on the hip glare so off I went....As we approached the trees on either side of the path I could see alot of people gathered....I asked Jasmine what it was....she said "the biggest spiders you've ever seen. HERE ARE THE PICTURES!!!!

I seriously wanted to vomit when I saw them...what would I do if one of these ended up in our room. Go home was my answer....in Canada our growing season isn't so long so nothing gets that big

I decided a zoom shot was in order as they were in quite aways from the path....they were disgusting.....there were 4 in total but I only took pictures of one. At this point I said to Jasmine, I can't eat. She still had no worries, she ate and drank. After a couple of hours by the pool we headed back to shower and change to go to WPC at DTD for dinner before the party.

By the time we went to leave it was pouring. We were absolutely soaked by the time we got to DTD so Jasmine ducked into Planet Hollywood to buy a hoodie knowing if it didn't stop raining she would be cold at the party.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at WPC andheaded to MK. As you can see it was still not great, but at least it wasn't pouring anymore.

Jasmine decided she wanted to ride the TTC and then SM so off we went. On our way we saw Buzz with no line so we went to say hello.

After our rides we headed over to the castle to watch the Villians show. It was still raining so Jasmine was keeping her hood up so her hair didn't poof as she puts it. As you can see the clouds were starting to leave and before long it stopped raining, but not before they cancelled the first Villians show because the stage was wet. They would be coming out for pictures and autographs though so we were happy!

Jasmine has always had a love/hate relationship with the villians, I think sometimes they still scare her like when she was little. She went and saw Cruella first and Cruella took one look at her and said "what are you dressed up as a turtle" I cracked up but Jasmine didn't get it....I said it's because you have your hood up

Maleficent was next on Jasmine's list...she has always been terrified of her and we've never seen her in real life so I knew this was going to be a hoot. As we approached she looked at Jasmine and said "what are you dressed like a turtle for" to which Jasmine replied "hey, that's what Cruella just said to me. Maleficent grabbed her by the hand and marched right over to Cruella and said "stop stealing my lines" It was a riot....I had tears running down my face it was so funny and of course Jasmine was dying of embarrassment!!

The evil Queen was next on her list but her line was so long that I said we'll come back for the next show and we'll see her then. We headed over to Adventureland and on our way we saw these guys...right before we got up for our turn Tarzen left....but Jane was beyond funny. Her and Jasmine had a great chat about men and then she had us hoot like baboons...too much fun.

We then went in to see what characters they had inside. Timon was first. We waited in line enjoying the families interactions in front of us. I was having a great conversation with this little boys mom, when Jasmine kept poking me. I could not figure out why she would be so rude, clearly I was talking. Well apparently, the cast member with Timon had said he would only be out for another minute and then Rafiki was coming out....Well I guess the mother of the family behind us pushed Jasmine and said "hurry up, we need this autograph and you're too old to be in line for characters! WHAT??? You did not!!! Not to my baby!!! All she had to say was "would you mind if we went ahead, to which we would have had no problems! Well, at this point I wasn't feeling very giving so I told Jasmine to take all the time she wanted!!If looks could kill I would have died right then and there. I'm not proud of my actions, but I couldn't believe she behaved that way. I know 2 wrongs don't make a right....but whatever!

Ok I'm ok now....everytime I think of that it makes my blood boil We were having the most fantastic evening and how dare she! We would move on and get over it, but a grey goose slushie would have helped at that moment I gotta tell ya!!

Jasmine was thrilled to see Jasmine lol

Baloo and King Louie....Baloo is Jasmine's grandpa's favorite character so she said we both needed to be in the picture!

We decided to head back over to the Villians show and I couldn't pass up a picture of this display in Liberty Square on our way!

Jasmine and I lined up for the Evil Queen, knowing where she would be from our earlier meeting. She was amazing...as Jasmine walked up she glared at her and said "you bear a striking resemblance to my step daughter, to which Jasmine replied, thank you....to which the EQ replied it wasn't a compliment. Again I died laughing as Jasmine looked at her and said oh sorry about that! I laughed so hard....it was priceless

Before the parade my mission was a picture with these guys....I couldn't believe our luck....we waited 20 minutes but I thought that was great....they were beyond adorable.

Those are some pretty humungous spiders! I understand your fear! I love your MNSSHP pictures! So funny about the villians and love the picture of you and Jane Plus I am amazed you only waited 20 minutes for the dwarfs! I guess it's better to go later in the party. Love the villains pics. Darcy loves the villains and I have never seen so many in one place. My absolute fav is the 7 dwarfs. We were lucky enough to have a pic with all 7 on our second trip, but not since. Apparently its a bit of a rarity.
