SPIDERS...Why did it have to be....SPIDERS

I just read your entire trip report in one sitting, I should be making dinner but once I started reading I couldn't stop! First of all your pictures are amazing. You both seem to have such a fun time together, it made me start thinking about a girls trip with my daughters when they are older. Also, I now know what a love bug looks like, I had no idea what everyone was talking about.
Lastly, I'm going to have to go find some chocolate after all those dessert pics, I'm trying to diet!!!! Love your trip report, I'll be watching for more updates.

Hey Queen...love your purse. What a great birthday present. How nice of Jas and your sister to get that for you!:goodvibes

Sorry your meal wasn't all that you wanted it to be at Flying Fish. But at least the service was great.:) I have never yet been to Flying Fish but it is on the list for future trips. It does look beautiful in there!

Hey Trish! Hope you guys are all keeping well!!

Flying Fish was gorgeous and the staff was second to none....you should try it!!!

Welcome! It's terrible when the Dis gets in the way of making dinner isn't it:rolleyes1 It happens to me all the time:rotfl2:

I hear you on the whole diet issue...I had lost weight before we left on our trip and I am still loosing....but man it's getting tough....working full time and trying to get to the gym 6 days a week is kinda getting to me, yet I know I have to do both:lmao:

Update coming right up!!

Just popping in to say hi because I've not talked to you in a couple of days. Mary and I are busy making plans...we're doing the Halloween Party with the girls and also doing Crystal Palace breakfast with them as well.

The original plan for this day was for us to spend the morning at the MK then our usual afternoon by the pool and then back to MK for MNSSHP. When we woke up Jasmine and I discussed the day and decided to call my sister and BIL to see what they were up to that day and maybe we would spend some time with them. Turns out they were heading to Epcot and yes, they would love for us to spend the morning together! We couldn't have been happier....we do love spending time together!!
496.jpg

Jasmine and I headed out to the bus to head over and meet them for breakfast. Before getting breakfast we all grabbed FP's for Soarin so as soon as we were finished eating, we would go on one of our favorite rides! From there we headed to TT...but it was such a hot day, we decided to grab some drinks and just sit for a few minutes before we got in line to ride. Here is a shot of Jasmine and her Uncle...on here you would know him as Geodoc!
500.jpg

After we rode, we decided to wander over to World Showcase. On the way we stopped for some pictures...when there is only two of you, it's rare to get pictures of us together unless we hit up a PP...here is my sis and BIL
501.jpg

I was secretly still hoping that F & W would start before we left...but just in case I thought we should get this picture.
504.jpg

Jasmine had been checking out a turtle here so of course I had to take another picture. Just looking at this picture reminds me of how hot it was that day and the humidity was thru the roof.
505.jpg

I was even more hopeful when I saw these little kiosk's set up everywhere! We haven't been to F & W since 2004.
506.jpg

We came upon our homeland and I couldn't resist this shot of the Canadian Maple Leaf...we are very proud Canadians! Jasmine looked at me and said remember when we were in the Confectionary when I was 12 and they asked us to sing our national anthem and we both belted it out....I love that she remembers those times....she looked at me and said...I love being Canadian. Brought a little tear to my eye
507.jpg

We continued on our journey to travel around the World. I was literally full of joy again...my daughter, my sister and my BIL....made me a little sad that my nieces weren't with us. I missed them so much! They make you see the world thru their eyes and I love that! Anyhoodle, I had to take this shot in UK...my parents immigrated to Canada from Scotland before we were born, so I always take some shots here for them.
508.jpg

Finally heading over the International Gateway
510.jpg

Do you think 2 of those 3 people with me are in a rush to get somewhere? Where in heavens could they be in such a rush to get too?
513.jpg

Yup, that's right the Grey Goose Slushie stand...here we are fighting over who's paying....my sister won this one.
514.jpg

Isn't that just a heavenly sight?:cloud9:
515.jpg

Jasmine is still not impressed that she's legal to drink at home, but not in the World....oh well dear, take a picture of us with our drinks:lmao:
516.jpg

We decided that we would take our slushies and wander back to the Yacht Club and have lunch with them at Beaches and Cream. Little problem with that is they won't let you leave Epcot with an alcoholic beverage, so we sat at the gate, finished our cocktails and headed out.
517.jpg

We have never eaten here and I was so excited. I was actually happy when the young lady at the front told us it would be about a half an hour wait so we grabbed a table and enjoyed the pool area. It is so beautiful there. My sister said they would stay there again in a heartbeat
519.jpg

Couldn't resist this picture of the light...isn't it cute.
521.jpg

I ordered a hotdog and fries with a coke. I added sauerkraut cause I love it and raw onions but as you can see it was a little overwhelming so I scrapped most of it off. It was yummy though
522.jpg

Jasmine ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and fries with a lemonade
523.jpg

Once we were thru, Jasmine and my sis decided they were going to share the No Way Jose....I made Jasmine and my BIL switch seats....I have an anaphalactic reaction to peanuts and I didn't want to take a chance of anything hitting my food...they said this was the best dessert of the trip!! My girl does like her sweets
524.jpg

I ordered the strawberry sundae...it was quite yummy too, but I was a little too full after this....I ate a little too much.

CONT' IN NEXT POST

After our delicious lunch it was time to head back to the resort but not before I took lots of pictures on the way to the boat. I will let the pictures speak for themselves....one year we will stay here!!!

Just popping in to say hi because I've not talked to you in a couple of days. Mary and I are busy making plans...we're doing the Halloween Party with the girls and also doing Crystal Palace breakfast with them as well.

Hey Kathy!! I'm so happy that you popped by just to say hi:hug: I am so envious that we won't be there the same time as all of you this year:sad1: I will keep buying the lottery tickets and crossing my fingers.....

My next post will be our evening at the Halloween party...you are going to have a ball with them!!! I want to do CP for breakfast too in August and Tusker House...I may have to choose:confused3

The pictures are so beautiful! I miss seeing green with all of the white we've had. I can't wait to see the green in 4 days!!! I think I have to try the lemon Grey Goose this time!
Congrats on your new purse! It is adorable!

Congrats on your new purse! It is adorable!

Thanks Debby....I miss it too and we have more snow in the forecast for tomorrow!!

I can't believe you leave in only 4 days...:woohoo::woohoo:

I think that's a great idea....I hope you like it!!!

Great updates! I know you were there after me in September, but I remember how hot some of those days were. How could you resist the urge not to just jump in SAB on a day like that?

Really lovely pictures of SAB and the Yacht/BC. Isn't is so gorgeous there? I am so excited to finally be staying at BCV in May. Its been my dream forever. I know I am going to love it and its going to spoil me for ever.

I think its so great that you are proud to be Canadian! I love the National anthem story. I think Americans often take their nationality for granted. My coworker is originally from Winnipeg and she is the same way.

I am glad we are getting to the spider part - I was wondering about that and I hope its not too gross.

What a great update! The GG slushies looked heavenly, especially on such a hot day. I was floored by the ice cream at Beaches N Cream. We have never been there but may have to pop by after I show Declan those shots :worship:

My boy does love his ice cream.

Thanks for sharing.

I had problems with photobucket when I started too...I had to call my sister to walk me through everything:lmao: Disaster between flights...who did you fly with Air Canada or Westjet?

It is a small world.....We moved to Winnipeg in 1988 and we lived in Charleswood until 2003 then moved to St. James....I love our area, I didn't love Charleswood:rolleyes1

Hope you are staying warm! They say -4 by Sunday...that'll feel like beach weather after these temps!!! Hope you have a great weekend:thumbsup2

We flew with WestJet! They were excellent and they came through for us. It's my DH that's lucky I didn't kill him after what he did!!!!! lol I guess I'll just have to start a TR even if it's without photos, or maybe I'll try to upload at least one or two. The problem is they come out so big and I don't know how to make them smaller.

quote: "Jasmine is still not impressed that she's legal to drink at home, but not in the World....oh well dear, take a picture of us with our drinks"

Ha... that was so funny... sounded just like me to our son Jamie who turned 18 last October. But boy, those drinks were good. I've been googling the recipe and have found differing recipes. Do you happen to know the recipes?
I read on the boards where one person said there is vodka in the grand marnier slushie! So now I'm really confused. I have a friend going in February so I'm going to get her to ask the guys right at the booth since I've heard that they'll tell you if you ask!

And yes... I'm so sick of this weather. I went out for a bit yesterday only because I had to. Other than that... the van battery froze and I don't need to leave the house anyway as I work out of my home and my clients come to me so that's good!!! I just can't wait for this deep freeze to be over!!
But I'm sure enjoying your TR in the meantime. We never made it to the boardwalk and it looks so nice. Well maybe that'll be a reason to go back then!

Have a good day!
Debbie

Love all of the pictures of the Beach Club! We stayed there a few summers ago and that place is what I imagine my heaven to be like:cloud9: When we ate at Beaches 'n Cream I was really suprised how small it was. It was yummy though!

I'm especially loving your pictures today! Epcot and the Yacht Club are my absolute WDW favorites. I'm actually leaving for Orlando Feb.6. One night at ASMoives, 2 nights at my brothers house and then 2 nights at the Boardwalk. My brother and nephew will be staying with me. I CANNOT wait to get out of snowy freezing cold NY.

GREAT UPDATE!!!

I love love love YC!! I just wish the price wasn't so darn high but of course you know why!

The desserts look sooo yummy!

I was wondering when the spiders come into play, at least they are not bed bug!!!

Those desserts look so yummy!
I would love to stay at the Yacht Club one day too. It would be so nice to be able to just walk to Epcot.
I can't wait to read about the spiders! :scared1:

You know I always forget about Beaches and Cream and I would really like to eat there at some point. Maybe I'll cancel one of my ADRs and go there instead.
Seeing your pictures have me so excited about my trip!:woohoo: I really could spend a whole trip just at Epcot. I love it there!
I can't wait to finally hear about the inspiration for the title of this TR!

The yacht club looks beautiful, this is definitely one of my faves of the deluxe resorts and it looks like you guys really enjoyed your time wandering around there.

Beaches and Cream looks delicious, wow those sundaes are huge!

Looking forward to hearing about the spiders:goodvibes

Great update! I love yours and Jasmine's patriotism! Everyone should have great love for their country! We always think of you when we're in Canada at Epcot :goodvibes

Your pictures of YC/BC are beautiful! We really loved staying there last summer and your pics brought back great memories :goodvibes

Spiders don't bother me (too much ) so I'm looking forward to hearing how your TR got it's name :)

How exciting that you get to stay there in May...I'm a tad bit envious!! The year we stayed at SSR, AKL, then moved to ASMu...Jasmine and I realized we too could very easily become or became resort snobs:rotfl2:

What a small world....what's the odds that someone you work with is from Winnipeg...bet she's glad she's not here right now with the stupid weather we've been having:lmao:

More heebie geebie than gross!!

Thanks for sharing.

We'll have to be sure to meet up again in August and share another GG slushie:thumbsup2 I think Declan would love it there....my niece has already decided that's where she wants to go on her birthday and that we've having the kitchen sink!!!
