SPIDERS...Why did it have to be....SPIDERS

I got behind a few updates. I hope you & Jasmine had a great Christmas & a Happy New Year!
Looks like y'all had a great day in WS! You ran into everyone at Disney except me:guilty:.

I now wish that I took feet pictures on the PeopleMover .

Great AK pictures, I love leggings girl!!!!:rotfl:

We did and we hope you did as well:thumbsup2 When I read your update at AK I can't believe we didn't run into you...we were at all the same places...out timing must have been off:confused:

When I showed my sister the picture with the leggings she looked at me and said takes us right back to high school in the 80's:rotfl2:

great update!!!

I love all the AK pics! I'm glad you saw Devine. Not many people know of her but I think she's becoming more popular now than she was 2 years ago when I worked at AK!

Gotta love some of the crazy outfits that walk in and out of WDW!

Thanks and I agree with you about Devine....we've seen her on our past few trips but never before then! You do gotta love them....it keeps things interesting!

Great photo story.

We meant to find Miss Devine last trip, but with the excitement of conquering Everest and going on safari, we forgot!

It is on the to do list this month, though.

As usual, lovely shots of you and Jasmine!

Thanks Debby ;)

Can't believe you leave this month....I am so excited for you guys:hug:

Hey Queen! I am finally all caught up!:)

I am embarrassed to say, but I actually read here for the 1st time tonite all about Jasmine's 18th birthday, and saw the photos from your special dinner that night. The minute you posted that photo of the delicious Billy Minner Pie I knew exactly where you went - the Keg!:)

How wonderful that you were able to meet up with Mary and her adorable daughters. They look absolutely smitten with Jas!:goodvibes That girl just radiates sunshine though, so it is not too hard to see why!

Queen - just wondering if Jas has ever given thought to applying to work at the Canadian Pavillion at Epcot through the college program. She would be an absolutely perfect ambassador for our country!;)

I know I said it before, but I just can't help but to say it again. You and Jas have such a special radiance about you - I just love reading all about your adventures. How lucky Jas is to have a mom who cares about her as much as you do, and how lucky you are to have such a special, marvelous daughter who obviously also thinks the world of her mom. I hope that one day when Katie is all grown up she and I can share some of the very special mom and daughter moments you and Jas seem to experience together - not just on this trip but in everyday life.

Looking forward to hearing all about the rest of your trip!:goodvibes

Thanks my friend:hug: Meeting Mary and the girls was wonderful...we really enjoyed our time with them! Jasmine and I talked about the college program but that's about as far as it went....right now I'd be happy if she just figured out what she wants to take in University and get her butt there:lmao:

Your comments made me well up....you are far too kind! I have a young lady at work that has little to no relationship with her mother and it makes me thank God everyday for the one I have with Jasmine! I just don't understand how a mother can cut all ties with her daughter when that daughter is a wonderful human being!

Hello again Queen- trust me I know what you mean- I often think of you and all of my friends here on the Dis!
Life has been a crazy ride this past year, but I have to say I am doing much, much better than I was last time we spoke. My DD is a college girl now living with her grandparents and my DS is 11 and it's just him and me living at home ... so hard to believe how quickly this last year has gone and how many changes we have seen. I am finally settled however and feeling much happier and content with my life. I am naturally missing Disney World unbelievably more than ever, and have been talking about a trip for spring break or after school is out in the summer, but who knows...

Anyway, I'm so excited to read about your trip. I'm so happy to see that you and Jasmine were able to go after all. You both look absolutely wonderful, and if I may say so Jasmine has the perfect look to be a Princess in the World being so photogenic and having such a positive aura about her. Just saying... :goodvibes

LOVING your TR-talk to you soon!

Carla

Hey Carla...so nice to see you again:hug:

We were thrilled when the stars all aligned so we were able to go:thumbsup2

I have to tell you that you are not the first person who has said that about Jasmine....one of them being my friends hubby who is a manager at Team Disney. He keeps telling her on every trip to get to Casting!!!

I hope to have another update up today....just going to get Jasmine up and her and I will head to the gym, then grocery shopping and hopefully an update after that!

"What not to wear moments" :lmao: I love that. I love Stacey and Clinton and my life is filled with What Not to wear moments. I even hear them talking to me when I try clothes on in a dressing room.

You got some great AK pictures! Love them!

We usually see these when we take a moment to stop and smell the roses....which usually happens in WS....and I usually have a cocktail in my hand:rotfl2: It amazes me at Epcot how many ladies wear stilettos to tour....:confused3

I will tell Jasmine you loved her AK pics....she was the photographer!!!

:rotfl: The way some folks dress for park touring kills me! I'm all about looking cute but doing so comfortably is so important. We have seen women in heels and skintight pants walking around there in JULY!!!! It's so hot in July! I can only imagine the blisters after a day in heels at Disney!I just don't get it! :confused3 My DS has been known to snap a few pictures of some ridiculously dressed people!:lmao:

I'm all about looking good at the park too...well as good as you can when you're sweating to death, but man, some outfits:confused3 We've seen the same people as you....what is up with that???

Sorry it's a bit late but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I had to laugh at that outfit. It amazes me to see the outfits some people wear to the parks.

...and the same to you my friend!! Can't wait to hear all about your trip...will there be an update today?

Wow.. That outfit is just.. interesting, I guess..:rotfl: People do pick crazy stuff for WDW. Nice AK pics!! I need to get the boys on the safari soon. We've only done that one once and Blakers fell asleep. :rotfl:

Interesting...that's a great word!! I really wish I had taken a picture of this girl that got on the boat the day we were leaving The Boardwalk after having breakfast. Now that I think about it though, I don't think I could have posted it...she had no underwear on and her dress didn't cover her behind. Me and this other mother were sitting next to each other at the back of the boat and we both looked at each other with that "did you see what I saw" look......:confused3

This evening would take us to the Yacht and Beach Club for an ADR at Captain's Grille...we were so excited as we had never eaten there before. We took the bus from the resort to DHS and then the boat to the resort. I love taking the boat from DHS to the resorts...I find it so relaxing!
452.jpg

We were a little early so we wandered around the resort and took some pictures.
453.jpg

Isn't it beautiful?
454.jpg

I said to Jasmine if we stayed there I would want to spend some evenings just hanging out in the lobby!
455.jpg

Where we would be having dinner!
456.jpg

We had a very nice server, but she was one of those people who always seems to be in a hurry, and the restaurant was not even full! I felt bad asking her to take a picture of the both of us ... so Jasmine just took this one of me....
457.jpg

and I took this one of her! You can see it really wasn't busy at all that evening
461.jpg

Jasmine and I both love clam chowder so we decided to order one bowl and pay OOP and share....this was beyond delicious....one of the best I've ever had!
462.jpg

We each ordered a drink....I had the mojito and Jasmine her standard lava smoothie
463.jpg

For dinner Jasmine ordered the crab cakes and they were so yummy, there was nothing left on her plate...she licked it clean.
464.jpg

I ordered the steak and it was ok, but I wished I had ordered the crab cakes instead....next time;)
465.jpg

We were a little on the full side but decided to order dessert anyways. I had the chocolate profiteroles which were actually really tough so I only ate one
466.jpg

Jasmine ordered the gelato...which she loved.

Once we finished our meal we decided to take the bus from the resort to DTD and wander around for a little bit. We waited about 20 minutes for a bus but it was such a gorgeous evening we didn't notice how long we waited until we saw the time on the bus. We scouted out what we wanted to buy at DTD, wrote it all down and headed back to ASMu. We called my parents that night and talked to my nieces to see what they wanted us to bring them back. I was just thankful they didn't cry when we were on the phone...I couldn't have taken that:eek:

Sounds like a great relaxing nite and another nice meal. I have never been there before, but those crab cakes do look divine!:)

Great way to end the evening at DTD....I try to do all my shopping after the parks and restaurants close. Always trying to maximize my time!;)

Great TR! I am wide awake and thankfully I came across your TR and passed some time! I love all of your pictures! Your relationship with your daughter reminds me of me, my sisters and my mother! We love to take girls trips and always have a wonderful time! I am looking forward to hearing all about the rest of your trip.

Isn't the Yacht club lobby just so refined and gorgeous. It's like walking into another world. I can't wait to visit it again in May. I love the little bar tucked back in the corner.

Those crab cakes look amazing! What a great choice for dinner!

You both look very pretty in your pictures and I can see that all the pool time really paid off on Jasmine's tan.

Great photos of the resort, Queen. And those crabcakes look delicious. We've never eaten there before but have it on our list to try one of these trips.

Thank you for your post on my TR. (I have a PTR going)

I've been contemplating the Captain's Grille for this trip. Thanks for the report of it- great timing!

Sounds like it was a perfect night to stroll around DTD!

How's your weather? We are expecting 4 to 8 inches tomorrow night. I am hoping that the snow stays away until Feb after this week.

Great update!! I can't wait to hear what you end up buying. Wasn't there a story about the Dooney & Burke purse??
Oh and the spiders??? This TR has been so much fun, how can the furry little creatures ruin it. :lmao:

Hi Queen! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Did you receive a card from us? I don't know if I got the postage right this time, I just put some on and didn't take it to the postal counter.

Loved your update. The food at Captain's Grille looks so yummy. We haven't tried it yet, but I will add it to my list for October! I'm hit or miss on the DIS lately but I wanted to stop by, read a little and say hello! Hope you and Jasmine are doing well. Miss you my friend!

Finally I am all caught up!! It has been so much fun to follow along too. It's so making want to go back so bad. I prefer going to WDW over Disneyland. So much more to do and bing there in the heart of it all is so magical. :lovestruc
If I can't get my oldest to go with me I would like to do it with another Disney lover as myself. I think it would be great to do a girls trip. Dreaming is all I get to do for now though.lol:thumbsup2

great update!!

Sorry to hear the meal wasn't outstanding for you! I've eaten there 3x now and it has never once been busy each time we ate there!

We've always had good food. I've had both the steak and salmon which were good! Those crab cakes looked great though! I can't recall what desserts I had but they were always good.

Have you ever eaten at Concourse Steakhouse at CR? That was like my family's hidden gem for steak but now with it closed, we think Capt Grille is a close second but will never top Concourse!

I totally think Jasmine should totally do the college program. I am already trying to convince my three to do it. I was even scrolling through the info on the internet with my oldest the other day. I think I've got him convinced but of course he's only in grade 7 so I have a few years to wait. But I suppose that's a good thing. It gives me more time to brain wash him.

I didn't see any age limits on the internet and I would be lying if I didn't admit that the idea of going back to school just so I could do the college program myself did cross my mind.

Hey Queen . Sorry I have been MIA for so long. I hope you had a great Christmas and that the New Year is the best yet.

Mmm those crab cakes look yummy! I always feel like Captain's Grille sort of gets the shaft on the Dis-- I almost never hear anything about it!

Sounds like a great relaxing nite and another nice meal. I have never been there before, but those crab cakes do look divine!:)

Great way to end the evening at DTD....I try to do all my shopping after the parks and restaurants close. Always trying to maximize my time!;)

I'm with you...no need wasting prime park time when shopping can be done later...and it extends the Disney magic that much further!!

Great TR! I am wide awake and thankfully I came across your TR and passed some time! I love all of your pictures! Your relationship with your daughter reminds me of me, my sisters and my mother! We love to take girls trips and always have a wonderful time! I am looking forward to hearing all about the rest of your trip.

I am so happy that you found it and are enjoying it! We are fortunate to have those relationships aren't we...this summer we will be travelling with my sister and her family again and I can't wait...we have the best time when we're all together!!!

great post. Those crab cakes look yummy!

Crab and cake....two of my favorite things:lmao:

Isn't the Yacht club lobby just so refined and gorgeous. It's like walking into another world. I can't wait to visit it again in May. I love the little bar tucked back in the corner.

Those crab cakes look amazing! What a great choice for dinner!

You both look very pretty in your pictures and I can see that all the pool time really paid off on Jasmine's tan.

Couldn't agree more...it reminds me of the east coast!! Bar...tucked in the corner....I need to find that next time:rolleyes1

Yes, Jasmine does enjoy working on her tan while we're there...we try and soak up as much Vitamin D as we can...Lord knows we don't get a lot of it during our long Canadian winters!
