They might have a "soft opening" during that time. With this just being a makeover to a ride, I am not sure if this will be something they do or not.

I would ask the Team Memebers outside of the ride if they have any plans to do soft openings that day. Even if they say no, check back from time to time. Back when Spaceship Earth was getting a makeover at Epcot, I camped outside of the ride for nearly two hours because I heard rumors (and noticed a large numbers of employees hanging around the area and going behind the work walls into the ride). After all that waiting, and being told they were not going to do a soft opening, they did! However, by the time I got off the ride, they had already closed the line and put the work wall back in its place like the soft opening never happened!

Anyways, I can't wait to see this! Don't know if I am going to be able to manage a trip to Universal this year (still trying, but the E3 trip is costing more than I thought). Hopefully sometime before next summer for sure!

This might sound like a bit of a weird request but just thought I'd ask.

I'm doing a video story for school on the reanimated Spiderman ride and I'll be there prolly March 9th to record my footage. Only problem is I won't be able to get a shot of the ride being closed. It would be cool if my video story had a quick scene of a sign saying its closed or something.

I was wondering if anyone that will be visiting before the ride re-opens could record a 5 second clip of the closed entrance and post it here (or send it to me)?

It would be greatly appreciated.

Probably too early...soft openings generally occur a few days before and since we are almost a week out, I wouldn't look for any soft openings before the 6th or so.

I am so pumped!! We have never been to US/IOA and I was so looking forward to seeing Spidey, then disappointed to think we might not. Now, this will be our last day on the 8th and we will get to see it!!!!

I hate to say this and I don't want to put a damper on your hopes but remember...it said Spiderman is scheduled to open March 8th...not a guarantee...so I hope there are no delays or problems.
