After watching the Spiderman movie DVD for the 5,356th time since Christmas.... (my son loves it what can I say?)

I have a question...


What happened to Peter Parkers parents? Why does he live with his aunt and uncle? And another thought, why are they so elderly? (The Uncle Ben character said in the movie he was 78? I think?, that seems quite old to have teenagers in the house...)

Anyway, any info would be appreciated...
